A color depiction of this pretty falls along Yukon's Rancheria River. Liked it both mono and technicolor. Mono version below.

The week's half over. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

The 2nd of the three falls visited on the day located just below the village of Pano Platres.

This is our local falls just after the deluge of rain we had late last year. Must get up there more often.

Happy Friday out there :)

Iguasso Falls, Brazil, July 2016

Kirkjufell (Icelandic: Church mountain) is a 463m[1] high mountain on the north coast of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður. It is the most photographed mountain in Iceland along with the falls. There is small trail that leads down to the bottom of the falls. The view from here is really amazing, specifically during sunset.

There are 2 major waterfalls on the Yellowstone River. This is the Upper falls . The water continues to flow a quarter mile downstream over the Lower Yellowstone Falls. It then enters the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The total height of the Upper Falls is 308 feet !!

The thunderous noise from the abundant water at Lower Yosemite Falls was music to my ears as I watched the mist weaving its way through the forest. I was mesmerized by this scene. Taken on 4/16/16.

Fireworks explode over the illuminated American Falls on summer nights. This picture is taken from the Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada side of the river.

The upper falls of the White River Falls. The State Park is near highway 216.

Fantastic falls. Falls Park.

The actual name is Grand Falls, Arizona.

It is called Chocolate Falls because of its color. The flow was very high on this day, @ 4,000 cfs. Grand Falls is 185 feet tall... taller than Niagara Falls

The water that flows over the falls comes from the Little Colorado River. The Little Colorado River in this area is dry part of the year. The River forms from seasonal rains and snowmelt from the Painted Desert Region and the Puerco River. The drainage area covers Eastern Arizona and western New Mexico an area of about 26,500 miles,

I've been to this waterfall several times. I find it a very peaceful place to visit, especially in the morning when there are no crowds. I had the place to myself on this morning. The ice gave a much different look than what's seen in the summer.

View On Black

This falls certainly rages harder in the Spring but late in year it offers a wonderful and color view as well as multiple streams of silk!

Wizard Falls streams down the Metolius River as autumn colors burnish its banks in gold, amber and red. Not a plunge falls but more of a deep gorge sliced between volcanic rocks that form its bed, Wizard Falls resembles more of a rapids.

A view outside the Cloudland Falls visitors center at Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire. The scene includes an example of the beautiful green leaf and autumn colored leaf trees the New Hampshire is noted for i the fall season.

Alaska's Virgin Creek falls has limited ways to capture it. It was a treacherous slippery drop to reach this level of the falls for this perspective. It would have been destructive to get any closer so glad to get this.

"Virgin Creek Falls: The nicest little waterfall hike in Alaska.

Hikes in Alaska don’t come any sweeter than Virgin Creek Falls. The falls are small but beautiful, and they generate a respectable roar as they come shooting into a misty, almost tropical-feeling grotto." hikingalaska.net

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River, approximately 30 kilometres south of the townsite of Jasper, Alberta, Canada, and just west of the Icefields Parkway.

Wangi Falls, Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory, Australia, Jan. 2016

Just back from a wonderful trip out west. Shoshone Falls was not on our original list to see but due to a road closure we went right by it. One of those happy accidents. They said it was the highest flow they have had in 20 years. Amazing place.

Just back late last night will catch up with everyone as soon as possible!

Upper and Lower Falls

Yosemite at night is AMAZING...AKA Yosemite Falls

Niagara Falls, one of the world's most stunning natural wonders, linked with the U.S. by the Rainbow Bridge. A bit difficult to capture its beauty due to the strong mist from the waterfalls dropping power, especially LE… The rainbow bridge was still closed between Canada and US, you could see the people watching falls in the US side…

Final 2 pictures I took of the falls of Falloch at the northern end of Loch Lomond

Summer Grasses in the breeze.

Black Linn Falls on the River Braan.

The falls are on Henrys Fork in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest of eastern Idaho.

The old classic mock champagne called 'Cold Duck' is merely a play on words as is 'drink' for the pool of water.

These Mallard ducks found a fresh pool amidst the frozen falls and waters.

Shannon Falls is British Columbia's third highest waterfall (over 1000 feet) and a spectacular sight to behold. I would have preferred a longer exposure but, alas, no tripod on the day so had to make due with handheld in the days before stabilizing lenses. I've got lots of blurry shots of this, as well ;-)

Blackwater Falls State Park, West Virginia. Blackwater Falls, a 62-foot (19 m) cascade where the Blackwater River leaves its leisurely course in Canaan Valley and enters rugged Blackwater Canyon. It is among the most photographed venues in the state and appears on calendars, stationery, and advertisements. The river is named for its tannin-darkened water. (8/2022)

One of the many waterfalls in the area of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Tannery Falls has a cascading display just above its ledge. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is located in Michigan's upper peninsula near the city of Munising on Lake Superior.

Spectacular Whangarei Falls is a 26m high waterfall surrounded by park and native New Zealand bush. There is plenty of parking, a picnic area and free entry. You can view the waterfall from a choice of 3 platforms above the falls or by walking down a well-maintained gravel track to the bottom.

Whangarei Falls is located in Whangarei Scenic Reserve. The classic curtain waterfall is part of the Hatea River and one of the most popular swimming spot in the area. Easy access and a well-maintained Scenic Reserve make this waterfall one of New Zealand Must See Waterfalls.

Great Falls Park, Virginia. Great Falls Park is a small National Park Service (NPS) site in Virginia, United States. Situated on 800 acres (3.2 km2) along the banks of the Potomac River in northern Fairfax County, the park is a disconnected but integral part of the George Washington Memorial Parkway. The Great Falls of the Potomac River are near the northern boundary of the park, as are the remains of the Patowmack Canal, the first canal in the United States that used locks to raise and lower boats. I've stood at the base of several waterfalls, and behind the Horseshoe Falls at Niagara Falls, and at the top of waterfalls, but never so far above waterfalls.

Taken from the Fowler Rattlesnake Gulch Trailhead , at Eldorado Canyon State Park, Colorado.

Pleased I was able to finally get to this iconic Mt. Rainier waterfall. It's famous for lining up with Rainier nicely. Last time I was here the trails were closed for maintenance.

I'd heard Myrtle can be a tough shoot, so was here in the dark. Wasn't sure why. Short hike to get to it. It is an easy shoot actually, for just one shooter. No room for another to set up. Can't see the falls for the trees, except for this one small window.

The smoky skies enhanced the rosy glow that Rainier gets for a short time each sunrise. Who needs sleep when you can get up and begin a day with sights like this? A nap later helps tho.

Friday is here! Have a wonderful day and weekend!
