XC18 - May 18th, 2018 Fall Calendar Picture

Almost 500 student volunteers cleared the yards of local seniors and disabled residents on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, as part of the annual Shake-A-Rake community cleanup program. The students – representing organizations such as athletics, club sports, fraternities and sororities, commuters, and student government –raked leaves at 55 houses and a community center in the Hempstead and Uniondale communities that surround the Hofstra University campus.

This is a photo I took while back home in palatine Illinois. You can't see the entire space in the photo, however this used to be an area for crops. As you can see there is a rectangular boarder surrounding the area. when this photo was it was raining/ snowing. Although the land is not in use, it is extremely benefictal for the irrigation of the area.
