I'm doing a cabled iPad cover, but it has to go over the hard case as well. The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn & I'm using dk, so I thought 1 more cable would take care of covering the hard case since my gauge swatch came out perfect after 2 tries.
I cast on (learned how to do Judy's magic cast on last night) but after doing the first set of 7 rows in the pattern, I could tell it was too small. More kindle sized than iPad + cover sized. So after measuring, it looks like I'll have to add 3 more cabled sections to get the right fit. That will mean adding 4 total to the original pattern :P So i frogged & will make alterations &try again when I'm home this afternoon. Wish me luck!
finally got a new film scanner. this was taken at shawangunk hiking trail in last winter. we failed to proceed beyond this point because of icy condition and poor equipment.

This is the first passenger train I've seen in the yard, behind Ipswich Station. I can only assume it's failed.

Great copy. And I think this is the first time I've seen a Dopplr error message, which in itself is saying something.
