Meander of the Adams River
Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park
Roderick Haig-Brown was born in England in 1908 and first visited British Columbia as a teenager. B.C. put something of a spell on him and he returned there in 1934 to make his home on Vancouver Island. He was a noted author, avid fly fisherman, magistrate and, above all, a conservationist. He was also the Chancellor of my alma mater, the University of Victoria, in the years I attended there.
The park which was named in his honour is located along several kilometres of the Adams River which is known for having one of the largest sockeye salmon runs in North America. Every fourth year, when there is a dominant run, the river runs red with the millions of salmon returning to their own birth place to spawn. Next year will be a dominant run and I can't wait to photograph it.
A couple of shots of the falls in The Faerie Glen near Rosemarkie. The 30 second exposure means the autumn leaves floating in the pool add a strange golden swirl.

Planet29 opened today and I am super hype for the release of this new eyeshadow set!
I created it with my fantasy peeps in mind~ It has beautiful butterfly inspired eyeliner flourishes with glitter eyeshadow and accents.

Tired of being seen as sweet and innocent..the tooth faerie took matters into her own hands and now she is the biggest crime scene evidence of all! The teeth..they are all hers!!!
Finally, Awenia Faerie is open to the general public! You can arrive in Faerie itself, or you can start at our official landing point, The Great Awenia Forest. For at least the month of December, the region is open for exploration and photography. When you land at either of the two landing points noted above, please read the rules about rezzing stuff and being respectful and all that, and we’ll give you a few extra landmarks as well just to get your explorations started. Over the past couple of years. Dyisi and I have worked really hard on making bits of Awenia, and I hope you enjoy what we’ve put together. In January, Awenia will close to visitors, and we will re-open sometime in mid-May to take you through the Light Half of the Year and into the Darkness again. Please visit, take your time exploring, and if you’re so inclined, help us out a bit with the tier by dropping some coins into the tip jars scattered round the Realm.

I think cheetah cub profiles must be what inspired some human to create faeries
update: the cubs have been named. This little one has a shaved spot on her left front side. That makes her Rhaxma which means 'sweet' in Somali.
