Jewel, in her off time, likes to pretend she can read books while wearing funny human over eyes.
Myself and these lovely two girls have been working hard for several years to get to the point we're at now with our costumes and characters. But the most rewarding part, and my personal favorite, is the sisterhood we have formed and now share.
We were honored to be special guests of the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival this 2010 season. These pictures just showcase that the silliness never stops with us three.
I've been working on Holly, she's the faerie of the holly plant. I thought she would be really cute for Christmas. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, and it has healing properties too! I will be writing more about that when she is all finished. ^_^
It was frosty and cold this morning and when the sun warmed the frost crystals it left all sorts of pretty things.
I think these little bright round things are faeries playing in the dew. Really what else would they be?

A faerie fort in Burren region, west of Ireland. Faerie forts are not real forts, they are natural land structures which appear to encircle one area. There is usually a stream going around one part of the fort.

Trying to get back into portraiture, I did a photo shoot for a friend and had some luck shooting this young lady.
Audrey had just awoken from a nap when we went to the annual Faerie Festival at Lucia's Garden. She wasn't sure what to make of these wings, but she looked adorable!
Meet the newest doll here at Scribble Dolls, and my first doll of 2014!
She was a custom order inspired by Charles' Creature Cabinet's Fidelia Firefly Faerie.
(I'm sure if you follow me here on Flickr, you KNOW my feelings on the lovely Fidelia's!)
She is 11.5 inches tall.
She can not remain sitting up or standing without something to assist her, but she can still be manipulated in many fun ways with a prop.
I, personally, am having lots of fun with her because she's cuddly and floppy like a rag doll. :)
She was made using my newly drawn up "Pixie" pattern (with a slight change to her head...she needed to match the larger heads of the firefly faeries!).
Expect to see more Pixies in the near future! (They'll be very similar to this faerie, except for the smaller head and a slightly different face style.)
