a little box covered in handmade paper. Inside is an acorn that can be used as a key fob (carrying an acorn brings good luck and ensures a long, healthy life), a piece of oak bark (carrying a piece of oak draws good luck to you), and the cap of an acorn that has little purple jewels around it (oak faeries use the caps as hats). This is part of a gift I am making based on an oak fae.

I've been working on Holly, she's the faerie of the holly plant. I thought she would be really cute for Christmas. There is a lot of interesting lore about the holly plant, and it has healing properties too! I will be writing more about that when she is all finished. ^_^
This little beauty is located at the Temple (dedicated to Sekhmet) of Goddess Spirituality at the faerie alter. I had never been to this place before today but must have driven by it several dozen times since living in Las Vegas. I had always thought it to be on private property, but as it turns out it is open for anyone to seek peace, meditate, or simply to get away from it all. Its quite the unique jewel in a very odd location!

Trying to get back into portraiture, I did a photo shoot for a friend and had some luck shooting this young lady.
Leila's senior portrait if she were a faerie of the upland hardwood forest. Tunica Falls/Clark Creek Nature Area, Mississippi. Nov 2014
Nothing remotely clever about this, I just liked the colour of the seed beads with the Czech glass. Simply strung on a piece of memory wire I found in my stash. Hard to see from the photo, but the Czech glass has a lovely mottled mossy effect.
Wanda and Kevin hit the road for a weekend-long journey into the Northwoods of Minnesota for a rendezvous with the Radical Faeries.

Nestled among the ripe cherries at the top of the tree is where this little faerie was found. Red is her favorite color so coaxing her onto this necklace was no trouble at all. She now sits upon a cherry red ab glass cabochon that has been set in a lace wired bezel and topped with an antique gold leaf. Above her head is a Red swarovski crystal for extra shine.
The beautiful landscape of faerie glen on the Isle of Skye was the most surreal place I have ever been. It truly felt like you were transported to a different world!
The Ban Krud beach is under the magical protection of Wat Tang Sai (วัดทางสาย) which sits high upon Khao Thong Chai, Prachuap Khiri Khan, looking like a fairy-tale castle.
