That ^^^ means no flashy logos or daft graphics please!!
Bit of an honesty moment now. When you approach a model via the interweb, essentially if we cut the crap, I'm a guy with a camera approaching an attractive young lady with the intention of taking her photo. Yes, if she's got a profile online, she's obviously into that whole 'thing' but it doesn't make the semi-predatory concept any the less awkward. I think, as a guy with a camera, being aware of this fact, and letting it affect the way in which you deal with people is one of the defining points where you sit on the professional photographer ---> sleazy pervert spectrum. Certainly it seems many of the guys who get us a bad name are either aware of this fact but don't care about it, or just don't realise the whole 'appearance' of it.
People who have worked with me know, it's one of those things that I'm totally paranoid about. Almost to the point of being annoying. I can't help it really, just wanna take pictures, not be a dodgy bastard. So when you go a stage further and speak to a model who's fairly (but not totally) against showing off her body, withthe idea of photographing her in not much frolicking on a bed in a hotel room, it gets a bit delicate. I threw numerous ideas at Sarah, many ideas, and due to the constraints of shooting from my hotel room during my visit down South, many were 'narrow' in their outlook.
I think, we nailed it. Sarah told me what was cool and what wasn't, and when the time came to do this 'set' if you like, I think the fact we'd chatted about it and got everything in the open helped a lot. The sales pitch was that I was gonna get her to go nuts, and have a pillow fight. Sarah's all about the fun it seems, and it worked a treat. So once we'd done the whole laying down shots, the closeups, I lowered the camera and said "right, time to go nuts."
A short pause whilst she figured out exactly what she was 'meant' to be doing.
(Answer, whatever the hell she wanted.)
I raised the camera, and took this. Frame #1.

The Jersey Shore experience is not complete without a visit to the boardwalk, so we took a stroll around the Funtime Pier, crammed four of us into a photobooth (a slight physical challenge ;-p) for silly pictures, then stuffed ourselves with birch beer on tap, fried clams, lobster rolls and of course some frozen custard. The Kohr's orange and cream is sooo good! Too bad we had to give the famous sausage and peppers a miss - we were just too full!
Fun times with amazing friends!
