Preparing young people for the 21st century requires that each one of them are fully equipped with skills and the ability to learn. IBM volunteers actively involved with the organisation of First Lego League, which aims to introduce young people, ages 9 to 16, to the fun and excitement of science and technology. The tournament reached more than 500 students, 66 teachers and 50 mentors. IBMers actively engaged in the tournament by using their project management skills, as well being jury members and referees.
