Transports Publics Genevois (TPG) continues to invest in its tram fleet, and following the delivery of 39 Bombardier Flexity Outlook Cityrunner units between 2004-09, Swiss home-market producer Stadler Rail is following suit with 32 Tango units, which are currently in course of delivery (1801-32). En route to Bernex on the 14 route, unit 1810 swings across the bows of a TPG Mercedes Citaro bendybus.
I've wanted to revisit this one for a while now. The Ford Flex is one of the first MOCs I made and I'm really happy with this updated version. I completely took it apart and redesigned nearly every element. The front, windows, sides, interior, and chassis have all been reworked. The only thing that remains semi-intact is the roof... which was pretty good looking on the original if I do say so myself. I had a lot of fun building this one and I hope y'all do to!
Blackpool Flexity tram 016 in that splendid lilac livery - they should paint them all similarly ! Not so sure about the unicorns though - thought unicorns were reserved for BREXIT !!

The delivery of 119 trams from Flexity family which received the type designation D in Vienna, started in 2018. Low-floor vehicles have the length of 34 m and consist of 5 sections, they can carry 211 passengers.
Also known as the Halina Prefect, and very similar to the Halina Viceroy and Wales Reflex (and the Kinoflex too!).
A simple fixed focus metal TLR camera. I'm hesitant to apply the "pseudo TLR" label because it doesn't use a brilliant finder, and the focussing screen can be used to judge when you are too close to something, even if the focus is fixed.
I & B shutter synchronized for flash (bulbs most certainly), and selectable apertures f16, f11, and f8.
The Votar Flex variation appears to be common in the U.S. whereas the Halina variations are common in Europe.
Oh, and I finally got an answer to something I had always wondered about. Whether "double meniscus" refered to the taking lens, or to the taking and viewing lenses (eg. "double" meniscus lenses). It refers to the taking lens, which is composed of two symmetrically placed meniscus lenses. Kind of like a rapid rectilinear but crappier.
This Ford Flex has undergone some styling modifications. The regular Flex looks like a dowdy estate wagon. This Flex looks much more modern and fashionable. The solid black coloring made the car look smaller to me (a good thing).
This is the new car Pat bought. It's a Ford Flex. The inside is pretty awesome! 4 sunroofs, 2 tvs and a refrigerator!

This is my 17th year covering this fun festival filled with color and pageantry and beautiful people. Each year some of the regulars return and sometimes fresh new faces appear to join the eclectic Renaissance Family. Some are vendors or employees, and some customers dress up to fit in with the renaissance festival fun and its 16th century way of life. One big happy family of a few thousand escaping the dull drums of their daily life for a few hours. This year's crop of new faces was lovely. Hope you enjoy the images. I try to capture their joy. Always fun, festive, very colorful and exciting!
