a sunset view from the same spot as in my previous photo ... all those who missed having the boat in the earlier photo can now enjoy it :) ... below is a zoomed in perspective. the colors were almost gone when we reached there, but I managed to capture some of it (and punch it up a little!) HSS!

Le flamant rose est l’espèce de flamant la plus largement répandue. Autrefois, flamant rose désignait l'espèce Phoenicopterus ruber, dont l'espèce ici présente était la sous-espèce Phoenicopterus ruber roseus.
Autumn in Flam, Norway, HDR on a cloudy day. This was the first photo I took at the beginning of last October trip to Europe. Yesterday I uploaded the last photos taken from the springtime trip to Europe in Bilbao, Spain. I haven't been traveling in 4 months and it's really beginning to get on my nerves, I'm going crazy. Hopefully by the end of next week the floodgates will open to a series of trips.
After leaving the Flamsbana train. I walked down into the Flam valley with its many scenic views underway. A lovely walk, and far better than the train ride.

Lovely valleys, bare mountains and cold winds, snow packs, glaciers, beautiful lakes, and then there are the enchanting fjords that never stop to amaze. The most beautiful country of Europe, for me no doubt about that, with only one minor aspect, which is the weather. During my month of traveling I only had 4 really nice days, the rest of the time clouds, rain, and very changeable! Still no regret, and I will go back to make even more than the 3500 pictures that I took this time.
Another very active vacation that took me to the south west up to Trondheim in a sort of triangle between Oslo- Trondheim and Bergen with the whole route visible here (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153668247101759&set...).
Flåm
is a village in the Flåmsdalen valley which is located at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjorden, a branch of Sognefjorden.
The village is located in Aurland Municipality in Vestland county, Norway.

At 143,000 GT, Britannia is the largest of seven ships currently in service with P&O Cruises and she is also the flagship of the fleet, taking the honour from Oriana. She officially entered service on 14 March 2015 and was named by Queen Elizabeth II. Her first captain was Paul Brown also Captain onboard now.
Britannia features a 94 metres (308 ft) Union Flag on her bow, the largest of its kind in the world.
Britannia was ordered in 2011 and was laid down on 15 May 2013.[5] The ship was built at the Fincantieri yard at Monfalcone in Italy.
The name Britannia was announced on 24 September 2013 and has historical importance for P&O, as there have been two previous ships named Britannia connected with the company. The first entered service in 1835 for the General Steam Navigation Company, which went on to become the Peninsular Steam Navigation Company. The second, which entered service in 1887, was one of four ships ordered by the company to mark the golden jubilee of both Queen Victoria and P&O itself.
The ceremonial float out of the third Britannia took place on the afternoon of 14 February 2014, with the traditional champagne bottle smashed against the vessel's hull.
Britannia departed the Fincantieri ship yard on 27 February 2015 for Southampton via Gibraltar. Britannia was officially named on 10 March 2015 by Queen Elizabeth II at the Ocean Terminal.

The Flåm Railway
has been described as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world and is one of the leading tourist attractions in Norway.
The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station.
Le flamant rose, Phoenicopterus roseus, vit en grandes colonies sur des lacs d’eau salée ou saumâtre. Sa couleur vient de colorants contenus dans des crevettes qu’il capture grâce à son bec filtreur.
Il n'existe que sept espèces de flamants roses dans le monde. La seule espèce vivant en France se trouve principalement autour de la Camargue, et elle se reproduit dans l'étang de Fangassier. Oiseaux migrateurs, ceux qui restent en France en hiver se dispersent sur toute la façade méditerranéenne.
