No one in sight but later on the surfer appeared. Great to see everyone from our FFF+ group. a wonderful turnout.

This year the FFF+ have created a group challenge called "Five On The Fifth" . . . five images in the form of a collage, must be uploaded on the 5th of each month, with there being a different theme, set by a member of the group each month.

This months theme, Negative Space, has been chosen by Di.

I sat a my desk thinking about this theme, it would be great to think big, outdoor negative spaces, say a cricket ball on a cricket pitch. As I sat there I fiddled with things on the desk and ended up with different type of "macro" idea.

This year the FFF+ Group have decided to have a weekly challenge called “Snap Happy”. A different theme chosen by a member of the group each week, and the image is to be posted on the Monday of the week.

This week the theme, “animals” was chosen by Cheryl, Cheryl - Vickypoint.

I have no pets of my own, which is too long a story to go into as to why. However, this enabled me to be creative with the theme. So I decided to choose this 1920s jade green Scottie Dog Bakelite button set against a bolt of green polka dot on white cotton. Why did I entitle this photo “A Good and Faithful Friend”? I did so because like other unusual buttons, he travels wherever I go, and never strays far, as I search for fabric to go with him. He always comes out when I call him!
