Said no one ever. But I did. And while it was a lackluster weather day, with rain showers dominating the skies, I was quite surprised when the sun and Union Pacific cooperated. Here a westbound has the light across the BNSF diamond and moves past the assorted industry and interchange tracks.

CAIRN: Stones stacked on TOP of another. Used as a marker, monument, or memorial of some kind. Cairns are sometimes used to mark points along hiking trails. Smaller Cairns are also used in recent times as decorations, often balancing one stone on TOP of another, forming a small stack, as in this photo.
Theme: "Top"

This buck did his level best to avoid me. When I first spotted him he was grazing in an open area in the hammock with a doe and her offspring from this summer. Rut is beginning yet he wasn't pursuing her just hanging out. Once he picked up my scent he slowly retreated into a densely covered area while keeping close tabs on my whereabouts.
