One last post from #MountRainier for today! The sunset atop was incredible especially from the #meadow of #wildflowers. This was on our way heading back down, which was an experience within itself. We had to hike back through a forest in complete darkness after the loss of daylight using just our flashlights...steepily losing a few thousand feet in elevation...with no other people in sight for the 5 miles or cell reception. This would have been "okay" if we hadn't been warned about a bear sighting earlier that afternoon and if we hadn't hurt ourselves (legs/ankles/feet) from the hike up. All this for the love of photography and adventure/exploration. Scared and in pain, yes, but we had the time of our lives...although I'm never doing that again!
