No great back story to this guy, but here’s what I got:
Sewage worker of 2275 turned to his true calling, as a drone operator. His new profession has him working on the dark city streets of Mirai No Toshi, as a Skill For Hire (a more respectable way of saying mercenary). Frequently shipping out as surveillance for inner-city contraband trafficking, Don has a growing library of skills and efficiencies.
His moral compass is solid, as far as SFHs go, and he refuses to have anything to do with human trafficking. When he can, he’ll sabotage missions of the sort due to his distaste for the business.
Harboring dozens of drones, he can hold his own if necessary, though he prefers not to over exert his use of his resources unless it is absolutely required.
AS OF 2/23/19 I intend to start posting more. I just finished up my finals for this last trimester, and I’m currently transitioning between rooms in my house. I’ll probably post a picture of my new set up (nothing impressive) and hopefully I’ll start posting weekly if not twice a week. The main reason for not posting often is a combination of being really tired once I get all my homework out of the way, and also just being too damn lazy. It’s not even that I don’t get to do things with LEGOs, because I do almost every day, it’s just I don’t have a new photo set up or even anything worth posting. Hopefully that will change.

Recently, my friend James posted an image of a large bison bull. In the narrative that accompanied that image James mentioned that a bison expert had told him that when male bison reaches full maturity, their bonnet becomes so thick that it almost completely buries their horns. I think this guy has reached full maturity. We encountered this impressive bull in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
An F/A-18F from VFA-122 Flying Eagles (radio callsign EXPERT) returns to NAF El Centro after a training mission over the nearby ranges.
A white stork efficiently dispatching an eel - apparently their favourite food - on the Ria Formosa at Ludo. The eel was found, killed and swallowed in well under a minute.

You might remember this little hole in a fence post at St Cyrus. A few weeks ago, I'd noticed a couple of male leafcutter bees on these posts, so on another visit I looked for nest holes in the posts, and was thrilled to find one occupied hole, but was then surprised to see that it was occupied not by a bee, but by a digger wasp (`Flick' back about 10 images in my stream). Since then, when I've been at St Cyrus, I've keenly looked in on the digger wasp as I passed; it was there every day I checked. Yesterday, after a break of about 6 days, I think, I was back and checked the post to find not the digger wasp but a cute bee in the same hole! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera, so this is a quick snap on my phone.
I'm curious about what's gone on here; could they both be using the same hole?; did the wasp move out naturally, and then the bee moved in?; did the bee evict the wasp?; is one a parasite?; are they both nesting?; was one or both using it as shelter?
I'm also not sure what type of bee this is. The leafcutters I saw (a few photos in my recent uploads) have now been kindly IDd by the expert Steven Falk, as one of the rarer leafcutters, the black-headed leafcutter bee (Megachile circumcincta). This could be a female (according to his book, they usually nest in sandy ground, but have also been reported to nest in wood), but that's a wild guess.
So much to learn :D

In Oktober 2023 vonden er grootschalige werkzaamheden plaats tussen Leeuwarden en Akkrum waarbij een groot deel van het spoor vernieuwd werd. Om de vuile ballast af te voeren vanuit de kettinghor naar de depots werd er gebruik gemaakt van de Rail Experts 6004 met een aantal RIWL Sgmmns. Op de foto duwt de RXP 6004 een aantal Sgmmns over de HRMK spoorbrug in Leeuwarden naar de verderop gelegen werklocatie.
These ground squirrels have recently moved into this levee/bank and are in the process of bringing it down. Natures Way.

A visit to the Seattle Zoo is great. This gorilla was eating lettuce and turned for a split second allowing me to capture this profile photo. Do you need a long telephoto lens to capture amazing animal photos? No!

Around 40% of people over 50 in the UK have some form of hearing loss. Hearing loss is usually gradual and you may not notice any changes straight away.
Many people with hearing loss experience a drop in self-esteem and confidence because of their impaired ability to communicate with other people.
The following tips might be helpful next time you talk with a hearing impaired person:
Get the person’s attention.
Face the person and stand close to them.
Have the light on your face and do not cover your mouth.
Speak more slowly than usual.
Raise your voice if you have to, but try not to shout.
Speak expressively and use face, hand and body movements.
