This is a small part of an exhibit at Birmingham Museum.
The artwork was done by Donald Rodney (1961- 1998) and titled as "Land of Milk and Honey II" Rodney was born in Birmingham. He used objects in his work to explore aspects of the human experience. His father migrated to Smethwick from the Carribean in the mid 20th century, in search of a better life in the "Land of Milk and Honey" The Vitrine contains coins and milk. They represent the 'sourced' reality many migrants actually experienced. The material he used will deteriorate and change over time.

Der Münchener U-Bahnhof Harthof: Die säulenlose Bahnsteighalle strahlt eine gewisse Nüchternheit aus, ist sie doch in ihrer Gestaltung vergleichsweise "unaufregend". Bei näherer Betrachtung fallen jedoch die durchdacht integrierte Beleuchtung und der behutsame Umgang mit Formen, Farben und Materialien auf. Die gefaltete Dachkonstruktion dient gleichermaßen als Lichtreflektor wie auch als gliederndes Element des Bahnsteigs, hat man doch das Gefühl, in einem Bauwerk mit herkömmlichen Dach zu sein. Die mit hellrosa und granatroten Glasfliesen verzierten Wände nehmen Bezug auf das kräftige rot des Linienbandes. Geplant wurde der Bahnhof vom Architektur-büro Obermeyer in Zusammenarbeit mit dem städtischen U-Bahn-Referat. Eröffnung:

Munich’s Harthof Underground Station: The columnless platform hall exudes a certain sobriety, since its design is comparatively “inexciting. ” On closer inspection, however, the well-thought-out integrated lighting and the careful handling of shapes, colours and materials stand out. The folded roof construction serves both as a light reflector and as a structural element of the platform, since you have the feeling of being in a building with a conventional roof. The walls decorated with light pink and garnet red glass tiles refer to the strong red of the line ribbon. Italy experiences a period of intense rainfall as dark clouds dominate the sky. The relentless downpour transforms the landscape, turning streets into temporary rivers and fields into saturated patches of earth. People navigate through the rain, seeking shelter and utilizing umbrellas and raincoats to stay dry. The heavy rainfall showcases the power and unpredictability of nature, reminding us of our vulnerability in the face of natural forces.

Sometimes I ride my bicycle through the places of strange calmness. It will force you to stop and unmount and observe. The forest communicate on strange levels with the soul. It keeps your counciousness out of the game, leaving only the weird sence of spiritual experience...
Northern class 150 unit 150104 (partnered with 150138) departs Blackpool South with the 3.16pm to Colne (2N78).
With a scheduled 4 minute turnaround at this terminus, there's barely time for the driver to walk from one end of the train to the other before setting off again. On this day the turnaround was even tighter seeing as arrival from Colne was 2 minutes late.
Blackpool South, with its single platform and evidence of former glories en route, is very much the Cinderella line into this popular northern seaside town. In fact a significant part of the remaining platform has been abandoned to nature, as seen in this shot. By contrast Blackpool North is vibrant, recently electrified, and boasts fast direct services to London Euston. No surprise It also handles the vast majority of passenger arrivals and departures.
I arrived into this station on a sunny Sunday afternoon and walked the two miles or so along the bracing, enjoyable and ever vibrant promenade before waltzing back inland to North Station for the rather faster ride back to Preston.
A bit of a record shot so I'm not expecting a ten from Len. Sure I spotted Madge though.....

Ciertamente, es una relación de amor y odio, ya que todo lo que le da (y le ha dado) a la ciudad, es capaz de quitárselo de un suspiro en las intensas épocas de lluvias.
El río Thu Bon
Atravesando la ciudad encontramos el río Thu Bon, el cual ha dado forma y ha marcado la vida de los habitantes de Hoi An durante siglos.
Hoy en día, pasear por sus orillas o tomar un café a pie de sus aguas es una de las actividades que no te puedes perder.
Festival de la linterna de luna llena de Hoi An
Aunque Hoi An luce como una postal todas las noches, la Ciudad Antigua es más espectacular durante el Festival de los Faroles mensual, cuando los locales lanzan linternas de papel iluminadas al río para promover la buena salud y la fortuna. Es una visita obligada que vale la pena modificar en su itinerario de Vietnam.
Una de las formas más populares de experimentar el río Thu Bon en Hoi An es en un paseo en bote de 1 o 2 horas. If you are a thrill seeker, spinning like crazy in a basket boat is a must-try experience.

While Graham took Rufus out for his last prom, I took my soft drink outside onto the patio.
As I opened the door, I noticed our Collared Dove was on the table, so slipped back inside for my camera.
I spent about ½hr out there with it, while it had some bird seed and a drink. It didn't mind my camera at all and I began breathing again when it finally flew off!
An honour, privilege and just wow.
