The Macro Mondays group theme for 5/31 is orange for Hans in the NL. I thought we could emphasize the greetings and well wishes with 3 exclamation points!!!.... I like the ducky with the beret a lot but I think this one will be my posting, as it is more clearly orange.
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a black and white day at Color my world Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday.
My weekend was super busy but very cool !! It was almost back to pre-pandemic era normal ! We had lots of kids over (my sons’s friends), my parents came and we had a power shortage !! I know that putting two exclamations points after a « power shortage » makes it feel like something very positive but in the end it was ! We had a BBQ with candles and lots of gin and tonic. It is hot as hell in Montreal right now so spending a night without AC was truly difficult but luckily for us the electricity came back just in time.
Today is my running day so I feel like this egg: I’m set free to go ! Since it is very hot, I will run inside. So far I did 295,2km this month and I hope I will get me badge (I know it is very insignificant but I have a very addictive personality !!) and be able to get to 400km until the end of this month…
Once again, with the power being out for more than 3 hours, I didn’t had the time to answer your comments. I will catch up as soon as possible…

The exclamation points are because although they used to be one of the most common butterflies in the region, their numbers have fallen drastically and butterfly geeks are always thrilled to see one. And there's no doubt, it has the classic dogface silouette, the greenish tinge of the cal female, and when it opened its wings (no pic), no black areas on the inner wings.

The red patch of feathers on the head of this Ruby Crowned Kinglet looks like an exclamation mark. It certainly was the right sign for my excitement when I discovered this little bird on my walk in the park this weekend. He doesn’t show that patch often and he doesn’t sit still for long.
