This arch is located in the City of Rocks in Idaho. We were very excited to visit this location at this time of day. I knew I wanted the sunburst to top the arch, and I knew that I wanted the warm glow inside the arch to draw the viewer in. I wanted the viewer to know that we were not in Joshua Tree or someplace like that, so I carefully included the local trees because I find they are very specific to this park. So the tree is gracing the middle of the arch to frame the location.

This is a three image blend. Let me know what you think.

I got a bit over excited yesterday when at least 6 Crossbills landed in my birch trees, they left and came back 3 times but the light was very poor unfortunately. This is the third time in my entire time here since 1997 that I've had them in my garden. I also badly filmed them for a few minutes and caught their lovely call.

PETER: (excited)

Scout....Scout.....I also got a tutu from the Christmas bear!

I am so happy! Now we can play ballet with Spencer!

Thank you, thank you dear Christmas Bear!

In the field of excited sighs

Inside natures open thighs

Grows a beauty, oh so sweet

That my fingers they do meet

That my fingers they caress

Natures defences, i undress

Allowing my sun to now cover

My sweet, wild growing lover

That fills the field with excited sighs

That opens wide, it's waiting thighs

Waiting for my love, to descend

cover it with sunshine, that will never end

I am excited to show you this picture because it is the beginning of December, my favorite month I would believe and what a way to welcome it than by taking a picture with a beautiful backdrop created by .banana peel. It includes the little trees, the floating gifts and I will leave a preview so you can appreciate it better, I hope this month will be one of many laughs and joys for all of you, my little nanuk dog and I will do it, more when he saw me floating in happiness because of the food I think about (? lol

Multnomah Falls Oregon. I'd always heard of it so was really excited to there. In fact, so excited I forgot to bring my tripod, duh! It is difficult to shoot waterfalls without a tripod, so had to improvise a bit to get some of the smoother images.

This little fellow tried to snitch on me to the black grouse

PADDY: "Wait for me, Scout! Wait for me!"

SCOUT: "Ssshhh! Hush Paddy!" *Puts paw to mouth.* "I can hear bees buzzing!" *Excited.*

PADDY: "I know, Scout. I can hear them too."

SCOUT: "Really Paddy?"

PADDY: "Why of course I can Scout! There are bees everywhere."

SCOUT: "I know, Paddy." *Pauses.* "But you are so... so... so..."

PADDY: "Astute, knowledgeable, Scout?" *Helpful.*

SCOUT: "Of such an advanced age, that I am surprised you can hear so well, Paddy."

PADDY: *Crumples muzzle in irritation.* "Scout!"

SCOUT: "What?!?!"

PADDY: "Scout, I will have you know that there is nothing wrong with my hearing!"

SCOUT: "I just said that, Paddy. Didn't you hear?" *Shakes head.* "See, your hearing is failing Paddy because you are so ancient!" *Nods seriously.*

PADDY: "I am not ancient, Scout!" *Indignant.* "And what have I said about passing personal remarks on other people's... or bears' ages, Scout?"

SCOUT: "But it's true, Paddy! You come from ye olden days, when the world was black and white, therefore it only stands to reason that you are ancient." *Nods.*

PADDY: "How many times must I tell you that only the television was black and white then. Everything else was in colour."

SCOUT: "Well you would say that Paddy, because there was no such thing as colour in ye olden days, so of course you thought black and white was colour." *Smiles.* "Anyway, I hear bees, so I think they are hiding in this sunflower. Let;s climb up and see!"

PADDY: "Wait Scout!" *Puts out paw to stop Scout from climbing the sunflower stalk.*

SCOUT: "What is it, Paddy?"

PADDY: "Are you quite sure they are up there, Scout? We've climbed so many sunflowers when you think you've heard bees, and so far we haven't seen any."

SCOUT: "Well of course I am, Paddy! I can hear them as clearly as... as... as a..."

PADDY: "A bell, Scout?" *Helpful.*

SCOUT: *Giggles.* "No funny old Paddy, not a bell: a bee of course! What else would a bee sound like?" *Giggles more.*

PADDY: "No, no, Scout! It's a saying."

SCOUT: "Well of course I know the bees are saying things to each other because I can hear them buzzing. We just don't speak bee language to know what they are saying!"

PADDY: "No Scout... I mean... oh!" *Sighs.* "Never mind! Now Scout, I don't want to climb a sunflower only to find it empty. There are easier ways of finding honey than climbing sunflowers and trying to follow bees. There are jars of honey for sale at the entrance to the sunflower farm. We'll get Daddy to by some."

SCOUT: "But that wouldn't be as much fun, Paddy! Let's look in this one!" *Starts climbing sunflower.*

PADDY: *Follows Scout.*

SUNFLOWER: *Rocks and sways with Scout and Paddy's movement, dislodging several bees who fly away.*

SCOUT: *Reaching top of sunflower.* "Ahh! Here we go!"

PADDY: "Do you see any bees, Scout?"

SCOUT: "I'm just looking, Paddy!" *Looks in sunflower.* "Oh no! I don't see any bees!"

PADDY: *Reaching top of sunflower.* "What? No bees?"

SCOUT: "I was sure I heard them, Paddy!"

PADDY: *Frowns.* "Maybe you are the one who needs to check your hearing, Scout!" *Shakes head.*

SCOUT: "Paddy!" *Affronted.* "How can you even suggest such a thing? I am young... and tenacious... and pretty! Young, tenacious and pretty bears don't have hearing problems!"

PADDY: "Well neither do ol... err... other bears, Scout!" *Nods seriously.* "Come on! Let's climb down. I'm tried of looking inside sunflowers for bees to follow to find honey. Let's find Daddy and we'll ask him to buy us some honey!"

SCOUT: "Oh alright Paddy!" *Bergrudging.*

PADDY: "And after we do that, we can play some hide-and-seek." *Suggestive.*

SCOUT: "Hide-and-seek!" *Excited.* "Why didn't you say so, Paddy? Let's go!"

PADDY and SCOUT: *Climb down thw stalk of the sunflower and go in search of Daddy in the field.*

My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.

He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.

Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.

Saturday last week, my partner surprised me with a belated Saint Valentine's gift and took me to the largest sunflower farm in Victoria, in the small town of Dunnstown, just on the outskirts of the provincial city of Ballarat, to photograph the flowers for a twilight session. Being in the Southern Hemisphere, I am in summer, going towards autumn and nearing the final few weeks of summer daylight savings time, so the sun doesn't set until around eight o'clock in the evening. Thus when we arrived at six, the evening was warm and we were faced with a wonderful undulating field of golden yellow sunflowers, basking in the sunshine beneath clear blue skies. It was like a great field of endless sunshine. Of course Paddy and Scout came with us in the hope of an adventure or two!

Laiken Britt’s picturesque sunflower farm was not only the first in the Moorabool Shire, but in Victoria, and remains the state’s largest, attracting thousands of people on weekends to the little town of Dunnstown whilst the flowers are in season. ‘Pick Your Own Sunflowers’ has been running for six years now. I attended for my first visit last year with a couple of dear friends.

While I've seen my share of ruby-crowned kinglets, not many share with me their crown ... for which they're named. I think that he was excited to see us. :-)

Here's a coooold one from Abraham Lake a few years back. I'm getting excited for the snow.

Many techniques used on this image are demonstrated in my recently released set of videos "Image Editing Volume I". A link can be accessed through my Flickr profile. Due to more strict enforcement of their rules, Flickr has asked me and many others to take down info such as links to personal websites, workshop information, and editing videos. However, it is still allowed to have such information in one's Flickr Profile.

That's the reason we kind of exist;

It's like our Job.To give to each other. And learn from each other. To Capture moments of people. So it's really strange to have somebody ignore the obvious human being right in front of them”

This is the only picture which I DID NOT do any color, brightness and etc adjust. Direct converted from RAW to Jpeg.

Excited by my newest camera. I new when I shot this on my Olympus XA it would not be able to focus close enough, but hey.

Excited that my Walton image is on the shortlist for the IPF photoprize. It is great to know that the print will be displayed at the newly renovated House of Vans in London from May 4th-27th.

This is a decorated sand dollar skeleton. The colors are excited by the lights.

This little Tufted Titmouse is fired up about something. Carried that green wild grape around forever. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

Here I am, standing on the shoreline just after 3:30 in the morning, the horizon is already ablaze with colour, I’m excited. My tripod is already out and waiting for the camera as I rapidly change my lens under the illumination of my head torch, I’ll use my super EF16-35 f4L, I’m excited. I look for an early composition, these rock platforms look fantastic, leading lines galore carved out by millennia of sea erosion, I’m excited. It’s still low light, to keep that colour on the horizon I need a ND grad, I decide to use a medium 2 stop to lift the foreground darkness, I’m excited. I frame the image, check the settings, f11, calculate the shutter speed, back to ISO 100 and bulb, this is fun, I’m excited. The first photo taken with a 76 second exposure, I check the results but no pressure it’s still 40 minutes from sunrise, did I say I’m excited. The first photo of the morning, the day before the summer solstice, the time is 3:40.

Soooo excited for this year's Levitation fest! Brian Wilson, Super Furry Animals, SunnO))), Boris, Courtney Barnett, and many amazing indie international bands are playing!

I am really looking forward to the fall photography season. There is so much to be excited about, including the return of big steam to Virginia. In the fall of 2023, I was doing a lot of traveling, but still made time to get out and photograph 611. People do not realize how large Virginia is, and it's a good 3.5 hours to Goshen from my home in Alexandria and that's doing highway speed and driving 2 lanes like you're running creek water. Nonetheless, standing in Swoope and listening to the 611's whistle echo off the mountains was nothing short of a religious experience. I am really excited to see this again, and celebrate the return of steam railroading here in Virginia.

This young Red squirrel appears to be enjoying its first venture out in snowy conditions.

So I work at Enchanted Forest. Which is like this little theme park, but today we're having this music festival! So all over the park are going to be a bunch of random local bands playing all day, so theres going to be sooo many extra people in the park. Its pretty much going to be all hell breaking loose at Enchanted Forest and I am so stoked. :)

But anyways, they did an article on it in the newspaper. I guess I'll have to update you all on how it went tonight :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So it wasn't quite as hectic as I was hoping. Dang. But still a very nice change from the usual day. I definitely enjoyed it - as I sat in the Entrance booth taking tickets and explaining repeatedly what we were doing I got to listen to various acoustic bands not too far away. So I was happy :)

I was excited to see such a pretty face. I kept waiting for it to come back out to get an ID shot, but this one is far cuter. The third time i went to look, I couldn't find the hole again so I had to give up. This was at a park I had never been to at night due to the long drive. I got 3 to 5 new spider species, two moths, and a beetle that night. This could be new, but probably not enough to ID to species. Looks a lot like Geolycosa riograndae, but species in that area aren't well documented so can't say with such little visible.

Another view on iNaturalist.

All the contestants received a trophy for participation. This little girl was very excited to have hers.

I was so excited to see this! I love Van Gogh artwork... to see so many all in one place *__*

Hen was excited too... but I think it might have been taboo to whip her out in the museum... oh the stares O_O
