Obwohl wir wissen, dass diese Sonnenstrahlen ca. 8 Minuten alt sind, ist das Licht als solches der Inbegriff von Zeitlosigkeit, Erst das Licht erschafft die Zeit und ohne Licht gäbe es auch keine Zeit. Das Zweite, was wir hier sehen ist keinesweg einfach nur ein Wald. Ein Wald und jeder seiner Bewohner verändert sich, verändert ununterbrochen sein Gesicht, während des Jahres und über die Jahre. Die Zeit vergeht im Wald und wir begegnen dem Kreislauf des Lebens auf Schritt und Tritt, von Geburt bis zum Tod..
Nein, es ist die Seele des Waldes die zeitlos ist. Diese besondere Energie und Atmosphäre, die alles hier umgibt. Die jeder spürt der sich die Zeit dafür nimmt. Diese Seele gab es schon, noch bevor es Menschen auf der Erde gab und sie wird noch hier sein wenn jeder einzelne von uns, womöglich jeder einzelne Mensch, zu Staub zerfallen ist.

A moment full of magic, when the new day is freeing itself from the darkness. After only three hours of sleep I hit the trail, alone through the dark forest of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, to end here on top of mt. Kleiner Winterberg waiting for the sun to rise. And then, when you have focused to the horizon for a felt eternity, watching the play of the colours and than you can see the sun for the first time, that’s smashing. Every single second of this journey was a gift, I'm infinitely grateful for.
Ein Moment voller Magie, wenn sich der neue Tag aus der Dunkelheit befreit. Nach nur drei Stunden Schlaf habe ich mich auf den Weg gemacht, allein durch den dunklen Wald des Elbsandsteingebirges, um dann hier, auf dem kleinen Winterberg auf den Sonnenaufgang zu warten. Und wenn du dann eine gefühlte Ewigkeit den Horizont fixiert und das Farbenspiel beobachtet hast, und dann das erste mal die Sonne zu sehen ist, das ist umwerfend. Jede einzelne Sekunde dieser Tour war ein Geschenk, für das ich unendlich dankbar bin.

Die Zeppelintribüne mit Führerempore auf dem Zeppelinfeld des Reichsparteitagsgeländes. Wie der Name schon sagt, war das Feld auch ein Landeplatz für Zeppeline. Unter anderem landete auch die Hindenburg mehrere Male in Nürnberg.
Der Neoklassizismus des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts wurde in der nationalsozialistischen Architektur monumental übersteigert. Erhaben, mächtig und ehrfurchtgebietend sollte sie sein, für die Ewigkeit gebaut. Und so fehlten in den Plänen für das Nürnberger Reichsparteitagsgelände Farben oder schmückende Elemente, kaltes Grau war die vorherrschende Farbe. Viele Bauwerke auf dem Gelände wurden wegen des Krieges nicht fertig gestellt. Heute sind sie Denkmäler und Mahnmale zugleich, und werden von vielen Touristen besucht.
Einmal im Jahr dient das Gelände um die Tribüne als Rennstrecke für den Norisring. Im Rahmen der deutschen Tourenwagenmeisterschaften wird hier ein Autorennen ausgetragen.

Schlechtes Wetter animiert mich immer Dinge mal auszuprobieren, die ich irgendwann mal gesehen habe. Also nix wie ran an den Werkzeugkasten und verschiedene Schrauben rausgesucht. Das Aufstellen hat schon eine gefühlte Ewigkeit gedauert, bis es im Sucher einigermaßen gepasst hat. Die Bearbeitung hat dann noch einiges mehr Zeit in Anspruch genommen.

Now, as all the fields are harvested already, here is a little review for You. To make this photograph, for finding a good position, I had to follow the farm machine trails in the field for what felt like an eternity. After all I didn't want to leave marks by myself. I entered this maze about one kilometer behind this position here. It was fun.
Jetzt, wo die Felder alle abgeerntet sind, hier nochmal ein kleiner Rückblick. Um dieses Foto zu machen bin ich, um an eine günstige Position zu kommen, eine gefühlte Ewigkeit den Traktorspuren auf dem Feld gefolgt. Purpurhuhn / Purple Swamphen / Poule sultane
Eine holländische Ornithologin hatte mir den Tipp gegeben, dass es an einem See eine Beobachtungshütte gäbe, wo man mit etwas Glück auch Purpurhühner beobachten könne. Nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit in der Hütte brauchte ich eine Pause und etwas Bewegung und ging ins Freie. Als ich zurück kam, tauchte das Purpurhuhn plötzlich auf und gestattete ein paar wenige Aufnahmen.
A dutch ornithologist had tipped me off that there was a bird hide on a lake where, with a bit of luck, you could also observe purple swamphen. After what felt like an eternity in the hide, I needed a break and some exercise and went outside. As I returned, the purple hen suddenly appeared, strutting in front of me at a good distance and letting me take a few shots. What a day!

This cube is part of a perpetual calendar I have, consisting of four cubes (weekday, 2x date, and month), its edge length is a little less than 1 cm (= about 0.3937007874 inches). I put it on a mirror and used a table-top tripod. Light sources were the ceiling light and a little bit of blue hour remaining light from the window.

Der Winter ist gefühlt schon wieder eine Ewigkeit vorbei, bei aktuell Temperaturen von über 15°C, doch es ist erst eine Woche her, dass hier noch eisige Temperaturen herrschten - hier der Blick von der Spree zur "Alten Wasserkunst" und zur Michaeliskirche in Bautzen.

Wenn man Kranz sagt, denkt man wahrscheinlich an einen Kreis. Er symbolisiert immer noch die Sonne und die Ewigkeit und auch den Schutz.
Nach der Tradition wurden nicht nur Löwenzahn, sondern auch neun Wiesenblumen zu Kränzen gebunden, die die Mädchen vor Sonnenaufgang ins Wasser warfen. Wenn der Kranz in die Ferne schwebte, verkündete er die Hochzeit des Mädchens weit weg vom Dorf.

Wenn du bestens getarnt da liegst und dich ein Rotfuchs aus 17 Metern so anstarrt, weisst du, zumindest bei unseren stark bejagten Füchsen, dass dies wohl die letzte Aufnahme von diesem scheuen Jäger werden könnte. Natürlich nur, wenn du diese nicht vergeigst, denn eine zweite Chance wird er dir kaum mehr geben.

This place is a real gem. The light, and not least the weather, out on the coast in Norway changes quickly. It creates fascination and drama. When the winter storms come, the waves can be 35 meters high outside at the lighthouse, which you can see far out on the horizon, where the sun meets the sea. The people who live out here have always been connected to the sea, as sailors, as fishermen and as whalers. Many ships have been wrecked here for hundreds of years. But not on good days like this one. The beautiful coastal landscape out here has been shaped by the sea and the waves, through an eternity of time. Enjoy):
Dieser Ort ist ein echtes Juwel. Das Licht und nicht zuletzt das Wetter an der norwegischen Küste ändert sich schnell. Es erzeugt Faszination und Dramatik. Wenn die Winterstürme kommen, können die Wellen draußen am Leuchtturm bis zu 35 Meter hoch sein, den man weit draußen am Horizont sehen kann, wo die Sonne auf das Meer trifft. Die Menschen, die hier draußen leben, waren schon immer mit dem Meer verbunden, als Seefahrer, als Fischer und als Walfänger. Viele Schiffe haben hier seit Hunderten von Jahren Schiffbruch erlitten. Quando arrivano le tempeste invernali, le onde possono essere alte 35 metri fuori dal faro, che puoi vedere lontano all'orizzonte, dove il sole incontra il mare. Le persone che vivono qui sono sempre state legate al mare, come marinai, pescatori e balenieri. Molte navi sono state distrutte qui per centinaia di anni. Ma non in giornate buone come questa. Während im Hintergrund der nächster Regenschauer runter kam, fuhr die Metrans 186 534 am Abend des 27. Mai 2022 mit einem Containerzug aus Hamburg Waltershof durch Bornim Grube nach Česká Třebová. Ursprünglich hatte ich gehofft, dass ein Bild mit Sonne möglich war aber der Zug stand leider eine halbe Ewigkeit in Satzkorn. Als dann klar war, dass die Sonne sich nicht mehr zeigen wurde, entschied ich mich auf die andere Seite der Strecke zu fahren - was dann genau die richtige Entscheidung war :-)
Terwijl in de achtergrond de volgende hoosbui in mijn richting onderweg was, reed de Metrans 186 534 op 27 mei 2022 met een goederentrein uit Hamburg Waltershof door Bornim Grube naar Česká Třebová. Het doel was eigenlijk een foto met zon van de andere kant van het spoor. De trein stond echter meer dan anderhalf uur in Satzkorn. Toen duidelijk werd, dat de zon niet meer zou komen, besloot ik naar een andere locatie te rijden hetgeen deze foto opleverde...
With the next torrential downpour headed in my direction, Metrans engine 186 534 was on its way near Bornim Grube with a freight train from Hamburg Waltershof to Česká Třebová. Initially I wanted to get a sunny shot from the opposite side of the tracks but while waiting there it became clear that that was not gonna happen (the train stood idle in Satzkorn for almost 90 minutes). I therefor drove to a different location to get this shot...

In nights when the moon still crowned kings, and snow knew the names of gods, she walked upon frozen mirrors, followed by the silence of the stars. She wore purple—woven from blood and prayer, from vows that never fade. Her breath was winter, but her gaze held the light of the first sun. At her side, the Kitsune with 9 souls, guardian of the path between dreams and death. Where her tails touched the frost, memories of past lives awoke. The Lunar Dynasty fell, but she remained. Born of moon ash and snow, the last queen of an empire that only night still knows.
