quando per la prima volta mio padre mi parlò degli Stati Uniti mi raccontò di meravigliosi spazi sconfinati, un luogo ove tutto, ma proprio tutto, era "grande" ...
da adolescente, e poi da universitario ricordo ancora qual'era uno dei criteri che mi inducevano o meno ad acquistare un libro ....
diffidavo dei libri troppo "stringati"
adoravo leggere ... trascorrevo una discreta parte delle mie notti a divorare i volumi acquistati e, ritenendo la lettura un piacere irrinunciabile pensavo che tale piacere, in presenza di un tomo corposo, si sarebbe prolungato per diverse ore se non addirittura per più giorni ....
Mio padre aveva ragione ...
Nei miei viaggi ho scoperto spazi aperti di una bellezza che una fotografia non potrà mai restituire ...
si, gli States per me sono una "lettura" corposa ed appassionante e non vedo l'ora di leggere quanti più capitoli possibile
