Sunshine always had a funny way of finding us. It slipped through the palm trees, warmed the sand beneath our feet, and turned an ordinary afternoon into one of those moments I wished I could bottle forever. The waves rolled in with their gentle rhythm while the world around us felt wonderfully quiet, like it had decided to give us just a little more time.
He looked like midnight wrapped in sunlight tattoos catching the golden glow, dark colors standing out against the bright beach. Beside him, I was every shade of rainbow I could find, mismatched in the best possible way. Somehow we always make sense together. Opposites that fit so naturally, like storm clouds and sunsets sharing the same sky.
There was no rush to be anywhere else. Shoes kicked off, sleepy smiles, sandy toes, and the kind of laughter that only happens when you're completely comfortable with someone. The kind where silence feels just as special as talking.
I've always believed the best memories aren't planned. They're the little snapshots between adventures the sleepy mornings, the lazy afternoons, the random beach trips where you end up smiling so much your cheeks hurt. The moments where you're simply existing beside the person who makes every ordinary day feel a little more magical.
