Lots of things to take with me to tomorrow's CILIP West Midlands Members' Day and AGM 2011. Photo includes delegate list (in label box); labels (for name badges); pens and pencils (for people to decorate name badges); star shaped stickers (to identify committee members and speakers); time cards (to keep speakers timings in check); kitty box (with float); coffee varieties, sugar and biscuits (for delegate refreshments); netbook (for @CILIPWM tweeter); iPad (for my tweeting); and gluten free breadsticks and tablets to keep me going. Also packed but forgotten to photograph - business cards, camera and CILIP West Midlands banner. Things I've already realised I have forgotten - water for speakers.

On a recent site inspection to Vietnam we thoroughly enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. A vibrant city that is busy, busy, busy during the day and transforms at night into streets that come alive with food vendors, knocking out a tasty Pho (the national dish pronounced “fur”) by the bucket load, grilling a bit of chicken on a tiny BBQ to earn a few Vietnamese Dollars and cooking snails on an open flame.

Where do I start? Well, how about an overall impression on the suitability of Hong Kong for incentive groups. To clarify, it is very suitable - Kowloon and Hong Kong Island have so much to offer. Religious temples overlooked by modern skyscrapers, genuine Channel no more than 100 metres from fake Chanel, Chinese food to die for and 50+ 5* hotels - Hong Kong is a vibrant, exciting and energising city. Great for groups, big or small, and something a bit different for those who have not been before. Loved it.
