I could write much on what makes my heart sing but I'll keep to photographic parameters and say that the possibility of a macro flower shot does it for me.
Often, my significant other half being a keen gardener, I will find the opportunities at home and, if there has been a recent shower of rain, the raindrops are always welcome.
I felt a cold touch on my hand as I cried out desperately in the swamp of lost souls. It was cold, a very cold, lifeless and numb touch. As the veil of mist began to part, you stood before me like a flower blooming in a fire. A frenzied silence pervaded the atmosphere. I was staring into your eyes, out of breath. It could be a dream, you could disappear when I breathe, I wanted to hold my breath and make this moment eternal.
You were smiling, that magical smile that carries the traces of the best memories of the past. Your smile, which I have turned into a philosophy of life after you. Your smile is the most immortal of the moments that I look for everywhere and everyone and feel free and happy. Your smile.
After you left, I never stopped looking for you. I knew you were watching me and waiting for me. I came smashing the forbidden paths of darkness. Now the bards can play our song for the last time. You will find peace while the music of your lost soul is ringing in our ears.

They say these mountain formation is ca. 120 Millions years old... No idea if this is true or not, I am not a geologist, but... in the American Southwest I indeed sometimes felt this touch of the eternity...
