Most beautiful town in the Czech Republic if you ask me.
Znojmo (Czech pronunciation: [ˈznojmo]; German: Znaim) is a city in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, near the border with Lower Austria, connected to Vienna by railway and road (80 minutes). The royal city of Znojmo was founded shortly before 1226 by King Ottokar I on the plains in front of Znojmo Castle. The city is situated on a rock outcropping on the steep left bank of the Dyje River.
The Gothic Church of St. Nicholas and the Late Gothic Town Hall tower are the most recognizable landmarks. St Nicolas' Church was built in 1348 by Emperor Charles IV, and the town hall, with its 75 m (250 ft) tower, dates from around 1446.
Overlooking the Dyje River valley, on the edge of the medieval city, there is Znojmo Castle, dating back to 11th century, founded by Přemyslid dukes. The only remains of the castle used by the Přemysl dukes is the Romanesque rotunda, the interior of which is covered with 11th-century frescoes depicting biblical scenes and illustrating the life of Přemysl.
Under the city and castle there is a vast labrynth of connected passageways and cellars, Znojmo Catacombs, developed in 14th and 15th century for defensive purposes and containing wells, drainage, fireplaces, trap doors and escapeways that led beyond the fortifications of the city.

This is one of UNESCO's "World Heritage Sites". It's the famous "Zollverein" colliery in Essen (Germany). To put it more precisely: it is inside the old coal washing plant of shaft no. XII. Today the structure hosts the Ruhr Museum which documents the economical, natural, and social history of the old mining region "Ruhrgebiet".
In its best days the colliery "Zollverein" was known as the most beautiful and most productive coal mines in the world. The buildings of this complex have been designed in the late 1920s in pure Bauhaus style. Architects are Fritz Schupp and Martin Kremmer. In 1986 the mine closed down. 15 years later the preserved structures were registered as part of the world cultural heritage.

This cylinder-like gate is located by the route 246 overpass across Yamate-dori. It is an exit of an escapeway from Yamate Tunnel.
Escape way from the 5th floor is connected to the slope 5m ahead of me. An escape way to the next building is connected there, like the escape way from the 4th floor. It is visible through the glass wall.

The Avebury nickel sulphide project is wholly owned by Mallee Resources and is the company’s flagship project. Avebury is located approximately 8km west of the town of Zeehan, within a known mining district on Tasmania’s western coast. The site hosts a substantial nickel sulphide Mineral Resource, established underground mine, a processing plant and associated mine infrastructure.
The Avebury nickel deposit was discovered in 1997. Five years later a maiden Mineral Resource estimate was declared. In 2004 work began on the underground portal and decline. By 2006 underground mining had commenced utilising a combination of transverse and 'longitudinal stoping'. A total of 8,500 metres of underground development was completed up to 2009, including ventilation shafts, an escapeway, five levels of development drives and an extension of the decline to the western Viking lode.
Commissioning of the Avebury processing plant occurred in 2008 during the global financial crisis, 9 months later the plant and mine were placed on care and maintenance while nickel prices remained low. No mining or processing activities have occurred since 2009 however the underground mine, processing plant and mine infrastructure remain in good condition.
Mallee gained ownership of Avebury and its associated assets in 2022 through a company administration process. Reference
