The BBC (and many other news web sites) is serving a torrent of news right now for the Royal Wedding so it's not surprising that some sites are going down. First the BBC's video and now the occasional error message serving text pages (hit reload and you'll be fine). What I love though, is their burning "test card" - a really nice touch. Go BBC!
Why is this site making me work out what time of day it is (I'm in Canada right now so it involves a bit of calculation) rather than adjusting the error message according to context?
But more importantly, why is my British Gas online account control panel only available during office hours? Are they cutting back on energy costs? Do they let the servers go home at night?
Symantec, oh Symantec...not only you abuse poor Mr. Norton's name, but you make such an intrusive bloated program. Why oh why don't you go back to the days you did it right?
At any rate, this is a wall in the underground parking lot which is under the cinema. The projection is to show various movie promo's, but as you see, Symantec's software it really needs an update.
Wonder if this is a widespread problem or some random hash collision. I only get this random person's info on one browser.

Snow White's Fairy Tale Garden at Disneyland is situated similarly to the Magic Kingdom's, but featured these beautiful statues in a pond across from the wishing well. Disney legend hath it that Walt received these statues from an anonymous carver (in Germany, I think), and thought they were so beautiful that they should be displayed in his park. However, due to a possible error on the part of the carver, Snow White was carved at the same height as all the dwarves, which is out of scale. To remedy the problem, they placed Snow White at the top and put a smaller deer beside her. The deer in combination with the height makes her look taller than the dwarves, though they are actually the same size if you look at them.
Legend further has it that after John Hench died, his secretary was cleaning out his office and found an old invoice for these very statues. So John Hench actually had them commissioned, then donated anonymously. Why? The reason died with him :)
This shot started out as landscape, but was too busy and had a railing in the foreground. I cropped it to change the orientation, leaving in some head room to give the display height. I darkened the highlights (maybe it needs more?), boosted the saturation, and here she is.
One day, last week out of the blue, I needed to restart the system that running Window XP, and right after the PC displayed the normal Bios system information, the system just Froze and then I got this text only error screen. Of all of life, working with computers, I have never seen or come across an error message like is before.
Well the good news I was able to get my system back up in running again. I figured the first thing I should do remedy the situation was to turn off my system for about 15 minutes to let it cool down from the heat that was built up inside my system. After this event I have never encounter this error message again. and everything is back working as usual as before.
Ubuntu kept freezing at different points during installation and/or updating. Now I can't even get the install CD to run. Decided to run a MEMTEST and I'm getting errors. Looks like I might need to exchange the RAM. (Anyone care to confirm my diagnosis?)
No entiendo cómo si en el texto no cometen el error, en el título se vea tamaño gafe...
En fin... Supongo que por lo menos se compensa con lo positiva de la nota.
