"The Höfe am Brühl were built between 2010 and 2012 on the grounds of the former Konsument-Warenhaus at Brühl, which was demolished before construction began. The building complex's architectural concept echoes the history of well-known buildings. The former Lattermanns Hof, the Drey-Schwanen-Hof and the Plauensche Hof can be found in the newly built department store.
The 130 shops spread across a total area of 45,000 m² invite you to do some shopping and browsing. The Höfe am Brühl, with its characteristic and modern aluminium façade, is also a visual highlight in Leipzig's city centre. It unites tradition and modernity. The façade of the "Blechbüchse" ("tin can") was preserved as a Leipzig landmark at the head of the courtyards, as was a 15-metre-long remnant of the sandstone façade from the Wilhelminian era."

Paddock garage shot of the very pretty 500 TRC owned and raced by Ernst Schuster. Originally sold to William Helburn of New York, the car has had a number of different colour schemes over the years, including the N.A.R.T. blue and white scheme. It is seen here though in its original livery.

Die neugotische Vierflügelanlage wurde 1858 bis 1869 im Auftrag von Georg V. nach Entwurf von Conrad Wilhelm Hase am Rand von Pattensen, nahe Hannover erbaut.
Laut Medien heißt es:
Schloss Marienburg wird saniert, weil Schwammbefall in den alten Balken der Dächer entdeckt wurde. Es ist deshalb seit Ende 2023 für Besucher gesperrt. Die Sanierung koste laut der letzten Berechnung 40 Millionen Euro...
Die Sanierung wird primär durch das Land Niedersachsen und den Bund finanziert, da das Schloss als Kulturdenkmal von nationaler Bedeutung gilt.

Tarasp castle
The castle of Tarasp was built around 1040 by the lords of Tarasp, who had moved from the lake Como to the Engadin. In 1239, the fortress came into the possession of the count of Tirol. From 1646 on, the castle of Tarasp became an Austrian county and in the course of the 16th century the complex was magnified and made a border fortress. In 1803, Napoleon gave Tarasp, which was one of the last Austrian enclaves in Switzerland, to the Helvetic Republic. In the following decades, the castle frequently changed owners and sustained grave damages.
In the summer of 1900 the industrial Dr. Karl August Lingner from Dresden came to Vulpera for a cure. The inventor of Odol mouthwash then decided to acquire the fortress and to renovate it. In an ambitious effort aimed at bringing the castle of Tarasp back to glory, old wood paneling and furniture were bought up from patrician houses in the Grisons, in Tirol and in Germany. In 1916, Lingner installed a Dresdner Jehmlich organ in the former armory chamber that is now the castle’s music room. This organ is now said to be the biggest private organ in Europe.
In the same year, Lingner died of a sudden death. According to his testament the castle of Tarasp was meant to be given to the last king of Saxony, Friedrich August III. As he refused the legacy, Tarasp then went to the grand duke Ernst Ludwig von Hessen. The von Hessen family remained in possession of the castle until the 30th of March 2016, when Not Vital acquired the castle of Tarasp.
Today, the castle of Tarasp houses a collection of antique, modern and contemporary art. The Parkin, a sculpture park in the village of Sent, and the historic Planta house in Ardez form part of Not Vital’s foundation as well.
Ernst Leonhardt's villa
The villa was built in the years 1900-1901 in the style of the Italian Renaissance. The building was built according to the architectural plans of Ignacy Markiewicz and originally belonged to the manufacturer Ernst Leonhardt. Before the outbreak of World War II, the entire area with the villa was bought by Markus Kohn. Since 1974, it houses the Registry Office of Łódź Górna.
The villa has undergone a complete renovation of the façade according to a design created in 2007 by architects: Jacek Janiec, Zuzanna Hibner and Łukasz Frasunek. We can admire the beautiful villa in the Legionów Park at 2 Pabianicka Street in Łódź.
