I switched shirts, so now he has a lined collar and looks much nicer, if still a bit too fancy for a sailor. I'm really loving this Eric. I have an old Tyco Eric that has a plain Cotton sailor shirt, but it didn't work as the red waistband was attached to the shirt and on the DS doll, the waistband is attached to his pants, so it looked awkward.
He's also wearing an old Tyco cape, once again proving that capes are badass. Not as badass as dusters, but still badass. Hmm... he needs a sword. He needs a flute too.

My friend Eric, who is an avid bird photographer and a Nikon shooter.
This is a test shot with a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 105mm f/1.4G. The lens is nothing short of a masterpiece, in the same class as an Otus, for half the price. Unfortunately, it does not autofocus with Sony cameras, so only manual focusing is possible with any of the Nikon adapters to Sony E mount.
Typical of other Nikon G lenses, this lens does not make it easy for manual focusing. The focus throw is very short, especially at closer range, so it takes careful focusing. So it takes a little time and patience to use it with a Sony camera.

Eric my right-hand man in hanging the exhibition chose to have this photograph of himself taken - in the boardroom holding an eye. The exhibition is at the Eye Centre btw. As he chose to pose in front of the frame I thought I would give him a frame too. Below are some exhibition images for those kind souls who asked for them. Exhibition is up but the launch is only on Tuesday 6th.

Behind the Scenes: Layers is where the magic happens in Photoshop. Working on a Curves Adjust Layer with a Layer Mask. I'm using the Curves Adjustment to make the dark tones pop just a little bit. Using the " \ " (backslash) on a layer mask will invert the area to red so that you can actually see what you are affecting with the brush tool.
