I shot the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam a long time ago and processed it with other - more "primitive" - tools. So, I thought I should give it another shot.

08/08/2015; With the Erasmusbrug being lit as brightly as it is lit, could you perhaps see this bridge from outer space? Or is pretty much all of the Benelux 1 big lit up blur from up there?

Not my usual type of shot, ie with no people, but I thought a change of pace would be nice :) Thought it would be good to have atleast one fantastical night shot under the belt!

Shot details:
3 subsequent bracketed handheld shots using: Canon 5D Mark III; Canon 17-40mm f/4L,
Post processing:
1. Lightroom for initial fixups,
2. Merged in Photomatix
3. Post processed (colors, sharpness and so forth) in Lightroom and Photoshop CS6
4. Finally did a little more processing (vignetting and temp and so forth again in Lightroom)
The Erasmus Bridge is a combined cable-stayed and bascule bridge in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city, second largest in the Netherlands. The bridge was named after Desiderius Erasmus a.k.a. Erasmus of Rotterdam, a prominent Christian renaissance humanist.
