This is a very rare kit and it is the holy grail of Formula 1 model cars.GILLES VILLENEUVE drove this car at the 1977 British Grand Prix.
My original Entex handheld "Defender," which I received for Christmas 1982, was the first video game playing device that I remember owning. Like many gifts from that same Christmas, it is long gone. Imagine my surprise this morning when I opened a gift from my wife containing a new (old) one. I'm going to relive the past while remembering the high score competitions that my dad and I used to have.
Started with this early 70s era hobby shop dead stock "Entex" 1/24 plastic model kit from Evilbay. I was impressed with the small box for a big model, the crispness of detail/body shape & lines compared to the modern Minicraft iteration on hopelessly shot toolings, and how everything was so neatly packed within the less than 12in/30cm long (roughly the size of a small loaf of bread), heavy cardboard box. Only thing is, the murky picture of a crudely built kit on the box inspires little confidence.
I sealed the hood/trunk due to marginal detail underneath, detailed the interior according to guidelines from Bring A Trailer auction archive listings for both these and S-series Bentleys in "standard steel" coachwork, did basic underneath/full curbside detail, used Elmer's Glue to glue in the glass, used real steel axles from the last dregs of a wrecked AMT promo model GMT400 Chevy in place of the stock brittle styrene ones, replaced the decaying natural rubber tires with AMT Firestone Super Cushions, and detailed it in a very fitting color scheme of Humbrol Acrylic Spray "sterling silver" with vermilion red pinstripe/wheel discs and a well detailed 2-tone red interior with felt "shag carpeting", hand painted woodgrain, detailed gauges/radio/switches and US/CDN (NADA in Britspeak) lighting. Finished it off with an era correct California press photographer plate.

"Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost - luksusowy samochód osobowy produkowany przez brytyjską firmę Rolls-Royce w latach 1906-1926. Następca modelu 30 hp. Do napędu użyto sześciocylindrowych silników rzędowych o pojemności 7 litrów. Moc przenoszona była na koła tylne poprzez początkowo 3- a później 4-biegową manualną skrzynię biegów. Przez 20 lat produkcji powstało 7874 egzemplarzy Silver Ghosta. Samochód został zastąpiony przez model Phantom I."

"In 1906, Rolls-Royce produced four chassis to be shown at the Olympia car show, two existing models, a four cylinder 20hp and a six cylinder 30hp, and two examples of a new car designated the 40/50 hp. The 40/50 hp was so new that the show cars were not fully finished and examples were not provided to the press for testing until March 1907.[2]
The car at first had a new side-valve, six-cylinder, 7036 cc engine (7428 cc from 1910) with the cylinders cast in two units of three cylinders each as opposed to the triple two cylinder units on the earlier six. A three speed transmission was fitted at first with four speed units used from 1913. The seven-bearing crankshaft had full pressure lubrication and the centre main bearing was made specially large to remove vibration, essentially splitting the engine into two three cylinder units. Two spark plugs were fitted to each cylinder with, from 1921, a choice of magneto or coil ignition. The earliest cars had used a trembler coil to produce the spark with a magneto as an optional extra which soon became standard - the instruction was to start the engine on the trembler/battery and then switch to magneto. Continuous development allowed power output to be increased from 48 bhp (36 kW) at 1,250 rpm to 80 bhp (60 kW) at 2,250 rpm. Electric lighting became an option in 1914 and was standardised in 1919. Electric starting was fitted from 1919[3] along with electric lights to replace the older ones that used acetylene or oil."

Lo restaure, ya que estaba en muy mal estado, actualmente esta funcionando y esteticamente impecable.
Has it been about a year since I actually FINISHED a model? Sad ...
So I chose this minimalist Academy kit with all of 19 parts to shake the rust off. Which would have been fine and good if the decals hadn't broken into more than 20 pieces. That thin blue decal down the length of the Galaxy gave me fits and took forever to reposition all the wee bits.
But, as always, I'm happy. This was a former Entex "Air Giants" kit. Fuji also produced this kit, the first version IIRC. Straight out of the box and painted with a hairy stick.
By the way, the Galaxy is one of the largest aircraft in the world, capable of lifting 135 tons! First produced from 1968 to 73, the first wave, 81 C-5As were made. Starting back up in 1985 (to 89) another 50 were added. The USAF plans to have 52 of these behemoths still flying in 2017.
