All mute swans are white at maturity, though the feathers (particularly on the head and neck) are often stained orange-brown by iron and tannins in the water. You can see well how waterrepellent the greased feathers are

Wood Anemones are now gently rising on the forest floor. Didn't bring my camera on todays walk, so here's one from last year.
