All mute swans are white at maturity, though the feathers (particularly on the head and neck) are often stained orange-brown by iron and tannins in the water. You can see well how waterrepellent the greased feathers are

This picture was taken in the Bay of Alagoa on the Island of Flores (Azores). The last evening sun enlightened this rocks.

I used a 3.0 ND filter for an exposure time of 20 seconds.
