A very thriving Attenborough Nature Reserve (set in the borough of Broxtowe, Nottingham, United Kingdom). Owned by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust it's a popular venue for birdwatchers, families and photographers alike.
This bevy of swans showed no fear of humans and they were eager to entertain and be entertained. I love the 'S' of the swan’s neck and how his profile frames the left side of the shot and that the other two prominent swans plus the sunburst and lens-flare all direct the eye to him. Though it was a cold late afternoon the warmth of the sun on one’s skin was equal to the warmth that it gives this image.

Spring is in the air and the Woodpigeons are playing 'chase me, chase me' high up in the oak tree. This one decided to take a break from all the chasing around and sat on top of the bird house in the late afternoon sun, taking in the last of the rays. It's been a lovely bright day but with a very chilly wind.
Watch out Mr Woodpigeon, Tommy the cat likes to visit our garden!

Taken this morning. It was fairly bright until I got into the woods. But the reds and yellows were still vibrant. The mist made the woods look like a painting!

IMGP6401. Ironbridge is a large village in Telford and Wrekin Borough on the bank of the River Severn, at the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge, near Telford, Shropshire, England.
Came to York on the train today and this decorated door reminded us that we had left Scotland and arrived in England. Beautiful old town.
Lower Slaughter is a picturesque village in the Cotswolds area of England, known for its unspoiled beauty and charming atmosphere. It's located in Gloucestershire, 4 miles southwest of Stow-on-the-Wold & about 2 miles walking distance from Bourton-on-the-Water. . The village is situated alongside the River Eye, with traditional Cotswold stone buildings and two footbridges crossing the stream.
The Valley of the Rocks, a wonderful walk from Lynton along the north coast of Devon, the very edge of Exmoor.
