This mountain, „the styrian loaf of bread“ has given work and bread for the people of this region for many, many hundred years now.
The Erzberg mine is a large open-pit mine located in Eisenerz, Styria, in the central-western part of Austria, 60 km north-west of Graz and 260 km south-west of the capital, Vienna. Erzberg represents the largest iron ore reserves in Austria having estimated reserves of 235 million tonnes of ore.The mine produces around 2,153,000 tonnes of iron ore/year.It is also the site of the annual Erzberg Rodeo endurocross race.

I'm hooked to offroad riding with dirtbikes now thanks to my brother. The experience you get can't compare to any ride on the concrete road. An added bonus is I get access to panoramic views of places rarely visited by people because of the remote location. I guess it's time to upgrade to a lighter dslr setup so I can easily take it with me in every ride.
Went out for a short trail ride around the property and off to the neighboring barangay. It's a relief to see blue skies and greens after a week of gloomy weather.
The Canterbury A&P (Agricultural and Pastoral) Show is held in Christchurch, New Zealand, in November each year. In recent years this has included an Endurocross event on a man made course. Entrant came from across New Zealand and Australia to compete in this event and the Nut Buster Hard Enduro held the day after. The event was run by the Christchurch Off Road Motorcycle Club, and they invited Pioneer Motorcycle Club to complete trials demonstrations between the Enduro rounds. Good weather for the event, but due to heavy rain overnight the course was muddy and slippery for the practice and morning rounds. This album has a mix of endure and trials photos, though is was good to see a trials bike mixing it with the others in the enduro rounds.
