I have driven by this wonderful barn in Whitney, Idaho many times without knowing this delightful face was there because it faces away from the road. The barn was on the news a few weeks ago and we went out to look for it today. The only way to see it is to take a dirt road to the Whitney cemetery.
The story we heard was the owner was very proud of his beautiful old barn, but when he went away on a short trip his kids repainted it. When he returned and saw this he was furious! But people visiting the cemetery noticed it and when the word got out about it he started to get lots of delighted compliments. So, he is even more proud of his barn now.
Found this rock while hiking about 1/2 mile south of Jumbo Rocks Campground in Joshua Tree. The pigment on the rock gives it the appearance of a smiley face!
My 1st LO today I defined Emojis, Hubby and I use them all the time. inspired by this pin, I tried to find the original source but Google image was unable to locate it.

The Emoji Fun Fashionista’s original hair was super thin and there was multiple bald spots so I figure the best way to fix that was to make it super curly.
I’m still not the best at curly hair but I really like this hair style on her….

Sometimes, however, a composition comes along that simply has to be exploited - especially as I heard that 'Emoji' is actually now the fastest growing 'language' in the UK! (sad face, sad face, sad face)

Umgeben von riesigen farbigen Bannern. Man steht in einer Welt aus Farben und Zeichen, die sich wiederholen und die nach ihren eigenen Gesetzen aufeinander bezogen sind, einer abstrakten Welt, die zu entziffern ist.
Fasziniert von Piktogrammen. Plakat als eine Aussageform, die sich an die Öffentlichkeit richtet. Piktogramme, die Musik, Schauspiel, Film und Malerei symbolisieren, erschließen sich sofort, andere sind erfunden.
Bestandteile der Wirklichkeit mit seiner subjektiven Welt.
Banner, die eine Botschaft auf die Straße tragen.
Die Bildsprache der Banner ist aufs Höchste vereinfacht, unmittelbar lesbar. Manche Banner unterscheiden sich von den Trägern nationaler Zeichen, von Insignien des Kampfes, denn sie dienen dazu, seine Weltmodelle zu präsentieren.
Aus Zeichen konstruierte Kosmologien, Weltmodelle.
Eine erste Kosmologie geht von Vorstellungen eines Kindes aus.
Schwarze Figuren auf roten Bannern stehen für Gott und die Seelen, für Engel und Dämonen. Glasmodelle, die vielleicht an wissenschaftliche Geräte erinnern, illustrieren den Zyklus, welche die Wesen zwischen Leben und Tod, Himmel und Hölle durchlaufen.
Eine zweite Kosmologie zeigt fünf aufeinander bezogene Welten: Die grüne Welt der Elemente, die blaue Welt der Dinge, die gelbe Welt der Künste, die schwarze Welt der abstrakten Zeichen, die rote Welt der Subjektivität.
Dazu tritt auf den Bannern ein Zeichen, das Elemente, Dinge, das Zeichen selbst und den Kopf, also das Subjekt repräsentiert.
Im Wirrwarr der Banner greifen Farben und Zeichen ineinander und erzeugen eine Kombinatorik von Bedeutungen.

Built for round one of the 2020 Iron Forge, where the seed part was minifig legs. Really pleased with how this came out, I was surprised I had enough lavender to really do anything decent at such a small scale. I did have to buy 4 of the Dots accessory packs just to get a plain smiley face emoji tile for the face though...
