I put 5 kilo of ash on a table. The darker bits are made of coal. Then I placed a garden hose under the ash to blow air through and create the “meteor impact”. The earth in the background is a picture in my computer projected by a Sanyo Z3 projector on a black drape.
A DAF42/480 Ultra flash shooting on a white projector screen on the back right of the camera as for light setup triggered by RF-602 Remote triggers.

This is the stuff that usually ends up in my bag. I like to have a lot of stuff with me but am still trying to downsize. The work laptop is soon to go away which I am happy for, company is big on virtualization (Though the Thule bag is perfect for carrying that and the Surface!)
The Nook HD was a birthday present a while back and an upgrade to my original Nook. It is nice but ultimately waste to carry around another fully fledged tablet, I plan to pick up a Nook Glowlight to replace it and just stick with an E-ink screen.
I'm a bag slut, and I am known to change bags between a few different ones every so often.
So these are the changes that have been made to my desk since the big desk adventure last year. They're not as extreme as the last time, but things have been added and removed.
This year I started with clearing out a ton of crap that was piled up that I wasn't using anymore. Eliminated one shelf, boxed up the game consoles that I hadn't bothered to power on in almost a year, got rid of parts I'd never use and stored those I might need. It's cleaner.
I also swapped the laptop. My Elitebook runs UniBeast 10.7.3 OS X now.

My Elitebook with a UniBeast Lion 10.7.3 Install. Linux Mint is nice, but I love OS X too much to stay away.

PC: HP EliteBook 8530w with a 22" widescreen monitor. I prefer having virtual desktops than multiple monitors, so regardless that it is configured, I never open the lid of the notebook for extra pixels.
Office:
L shaped desk, currently not filled with paper piles. The lamp, the two sofas, the scented candles and some desktop storage stuff not visible on the desk are from Ikea.

just configured Linux Mint 12 x64 on my little Elitebook. Works really well, it's an impressive distro.
