In this image, you see the architectural essence of the Mercedes-Benz Museum's central atrium, designed by the Dutch architects UNStudio.
The dynamic, asymmetrical curves and concrete structures are typical of the deconstructivist style, symbolising innovation and fluidity.
The interplay of light and material enhances the museum's futuristic atmosphere, guiding visitors upwards through its spiralling design, reflecting both movement and progress.

The Eurasian eagle-owl is a very large bird, smaller than the golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) but larger than the snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus), despite some overlap in size with both species. It is sometimes referred to as the world's largest owl,
The Eurasian eagle-owl typically has a wingspan of 131–188 cm ,with the largest specimens possibly attaining 200 cm. The total length of the species can vary from 56 to 75 cm. Females can weigh from 1.75 to 4.6 kg and males can weigh from 1.22 to 3.2 kg. In comparison, the barn owl (Tyto alba), the world's most widely distributed owl species, weighs about 500 g and the great horned owl, which fills the eagle-owl's ecological niche in North America, weighs around 1.4 kg

Columns evoking trees and branches, Antoni Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona exhilirates with the stunning tonality of its illumination. I took this photo on March 10, 2017: 135 years after construction began, 2.25 years before a building permit was issued, and 9.25 years before completion is expected (the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death). Multiple generations and pragmatic modifications were anticipated by Gaudi, who wrote, "I will grow old but others will come after me. What must always be conserved is the spirit of the work, but its life has to depend on the generations it is handed down to and with whom it lives and is incarnated."

UPY 728 does the honors shoving a set of Metra coaches on the UP lines over downtown Chicago towards Ogilvie Transportation Center. It's always a treat to see GP15s on passenger only trackage.
Also seen are the iconic Cassidy Tire building, and the former C&NW branch to Navy Pier, including the technically active Kinzie St. Bascule Bridge.

Flying visit to Paignton Harbour this morning, unfortunately the rain came sooner than expected so only managed one shot!
There were no lifts in the old buildings, but this one will take you to the rooftop of the main carpark in Launceston's CBD. It reminds me of a diving tower.
Needle Tower II (1969) is a monumental sculpture by artist Kenneth Snelson, located at the Kröller Müller Museum in Otterlo (the Netherlands). It consists of a number of metal beams and cables that are assembled in a very ingenious way, using a mathematic balance between the powers of gravity, stretch and pressure. Every time I look at it I am enchanted by its geometric beauty that actually seems to transcend the very laws of nature it uses.
