Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is Lockdown song. I must admit I’m very bad at music… Singing and dancing are a challenge… Also, I can listen to one song for a very, very long time without even noticing that it was playing forever… Luckily for me my husband is the one in charge of music at our home. After all, he is a very talented musician with his own awesome YouTube channel (and if you want to see by yourself here is the link: www.youtube.com/c/NuTrixTheSynthGuy/about). And my husband si truly into electronic music so that is our main lockdown musical genre playing everyday. If i have to name one band it is Daft Punk for sure.
My picture was inspired by electronic music and you can see some kind of device to make music (I have absolutely no idea how does it work so dont ask me…). Of course, Red Lady, who was a very successful DJ few years ago, is here with us since she loves electronic music !!

Macro Mondays - Cogwheels
I opened a faux wind-up clock hoping to find some elegant cogwheels, but all that I found was plastic cogwheels and some electronic components. I liked the bokeh from the electronic components! :-)

Wooden cable reels, slowly rotting away outside an industrial unit. Conditions were overcast and hazy on this winter day; I took a shot of these out of the car window while on a lockdown journey.
Date taken: January 16 2021

Lens: Olympus Zuiko 50mm f/1.8
ISO setting: 200
Exposure: I think this was in Program mode (full auto aperture and shutter). No record kept anyway. Off-the-film electronic metering with no +/- EV offset.

Post processing: Crop square, adjust black/white points.

The earliest pieces of electronic music used recorded sounds that were then electronically altered to create sonic collages. This style, called musique concrete, was developed in Paris in 1948 by Pierre Schaeffer. The invention of the tape recorder in the late 1940s gave composers new means for modifying recorded sounds, including splicing (cutting the tape to create new juxtapositions of sound), speed variation (which changes the pitch of the recorded sound), and mixing (which allowed two or more different recordings to be played back at the same time).
