Im Dezember 1975 ist das Binnenschiff "UWE" in eine Havarie mit einem Frachter geraten und wurde in 2 Teile getrennt. Eine Bergung lohnte nicht, das Heck liegt so bis heute am Elbufer.

Früher Pegelhäuschen, heute das kleinste Restaurant der Welt
Formerly a water gauge, today the smallest restaurant in the world
A massive wall of fog is surging against the cliffs of mt. Winterberg in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. In the beginning it is only slipping between the trees but then it's overflowing the entire woodlands. Soon nothing can be seen of the wide green areas in the valley.
The sun that has just risen, is bravely fighting back, trying to push back the masses.. At the moment she has no chance, but the battle is not yet decided.
Eine massive Nebelwand brandet an die Klippen des Winterberges im Elbsandsteingebirge. Erst schiebt sie sich nur zwischen die Bäume dann jedoch überflutet sie den ganzen Wald. Von den weiten grünen Flächen im Tal ist bald nichts mehr zu sehen.
Die Sonne, die gerade aufgegangen ist kämpft tapfer dagegen an und versucht die Massen wieder zurück zu drängen. Im Augenblick hat sie keine Chance doch die Schlacht ist noch nicht entschieden.

Die Elbstraße im Zentrum der historischen Altstadt ist Lauenburgs älteste Straße. Malerische Fachwerkhäuser aus dem 16. bis 19. Jahrhundert zeugen vom damals blühenden Geschäftsleben.

Kurz vor der Landesgrenze zu Schleswig Holstein liegt das „Rissener Ufer“ – vielleicht Hamburgs schönster Abschnitt des Elbstrandes, auf jeden Fall aber sein westlichster. Im Schatten des Leuchtturms „Unterfeuer Rissen“ kann man im feinen Sand einen tollen Strandtag verbringen und liegt dabei im Windschatten des Wittenbergener Höhenzuges wie in einer Strandmuschel.
