Spotted on a leaf on our Nandina plant. I am not sure what sort of creature has laid them or how long they have been there.

Found this egg laying on the ground at the bottom of my back porch this morning, very odd place for it to be, could not locate a nest near by.
In PSE I changed the colour and I added the filters sumi e, plastic wrap and ocean ripple.
I also added in, Color Efex Pro 4, the filter Bi-Color Violet Pink .
Finally I added the texture: Dusted Pure by clive sax, thank you for your free textures !!

A resin egg from the movie Alien Resurrection (1979). This is from our collection of four eggs (egg and baby glow in the dark). If you like sci-fi movies you'll remember this little baby monster (yeah, a little creepy). The egg height with the baby is less than 3" and the wide less than 2". (Best in Large)
Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! My apologies if I cannot reply to all comments. Have a great day!
Romanian Easter egg, two painted from Bukovina and one beaded, made in Transylvania.
The origin of painted Easter eggs 'goes back at least a couple of centuries, and today they represent the most popular image of this major Orthodox religious holiday.' (www.uncover-romania.com/attractions/history-culture/tradi...)
Walking up to Nell and Helen's for a cup of tea and a play with the pigs involved filling my camera bag with these for the walk back.
Next to quite an expensive lens.
Worth the risk though. Yum.
This is a spectacular looking bird in its breeding plumage and one of my favorites for flight photography. The birds are resident to the country and are in their prime breeding plumage right now. They turn white with gold colored mane on the back of their necks - the transformation is really remarkable.
During the monsoon season the birds are usually very active. We can hear their calls near the lakes very easily. I shot this near one lake which has a low embankment road, there were 2 pairs trying to pair up. I am not sure whether its the male chasing the female or vice versa (both look alike), but this one followed after another one all over the banks.
A few others I sighted on another part of the lake had paired, they were sticking to each other. The nest building is on a lotus leaf where they lay the eggs. After that, the female leaves the male to find another partner, while the male takes over full parental duties.
Thanks in advance for your views, likes and faves. Much appreciated.
Happy Easter!
Seems most appropriate for Smile on Saturday but a bit too similar to my Looking Close... on Friday entry so I did another.
An ordinary hen egg in the nest of a Grey Fantail ... it had 3 chicks so this egg is a bit big!!!
