Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily and we will celebrate that (again) with an egg picture. Yes, I’m having eggs this morning for sure with a coffee. This should give me lots of energy to jumpstart my day.
Another video meeting will start in a few minutes and honestly I wonder where did the time go ? It is already mid December and we have only a few video meetings left… And I have a strange feeling that I will miss those meetings… But something tells me that working from home isn’t over yet ! We are supposed to have another lockdown during the holidays so the video meetings will still be there in 2021…
Have an amazing day my friends and see you later !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or a purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is eggs from chickens & co. Of course in my case it will be chicken eggs since that is the only kind of eggs I have in my kitchen right now….
And since yesterday was a B&W picture, let's put some colors on my today’s post. Be careful: very bold and bright colors ahead !! I don’t want you to burn your retina by watching my picture for too long…As for the eggs in my picture: those are my favorite painted eggs (I painted them myself) from my personal collection. You have seen some of them in previous pictures …. We all know by now that chicken floating eggs are my favorite of all times !!
I hope it will make you smile !! Happy SOS !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! Have a beautiful day !

Hello awesome Flickr People !!
Today is a blue day at Color My Word Daily and the theme at Looking close on Friday is…. something that I truly love….. yes you guessed it : EGG !!
I know, I did numerous pictures of eggs here on this Photostream (note to myself: maybe i should put them all in one album ??) but eggs are very inspiring.
Not only you can put them in many situations and positions, eggs will always be able to get back on their feet (or will they ??? Do they even have feet ???). If you dont like pictures of eggs, you can always eat them and you will have plenty of energy for your day !
So eggs rocks !
Have a beautiful day my friends !! See you later !!

Eggs of Small Pratincole [Little Pratincole]
Bird is in the first comment box
Size of the egg is about 1"
COOKIE DOUGH CRUST:
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
For the Filling:
Juice of 1 lemon
4-6 ripe pears, peeled, cored and halved
or canned pear halves
Custard filling:
¾ cup sugar
2 large eggs
½ cup all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup melted unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
-Sliced almonds
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
1.In a bowl, mix the flour, butter, salt and sugar until the mixture resembles coarse flour.
Mix the dough. It will be crumbly. Pat the dough in an 11 inch spring form pan with a removable bottom.
Bake in the lower third of the oven for 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove and cool.
2. Reduce the oven temp to 350 degrees.
Mix lemon juice with enough water to cover the pears and parboil pears. (I use canned half pears.) Drain.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, eggs, flour, and salt, beating until pale yellow and thick. Beat the melted butter in to the sugar mixture and then the vanilla. Set aside.
4. Arrange the pears in the baked pastry shell.
Pour the egg mixture over the pears.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.

It is curious that figurative arts do not take the eggs into consideration. You can walk around the halls of a large museum without finding a still life with eggs. Vegetables stand out by far. Yet their shape is perfect and they would like to lend themselves like bottles with infinite compositions.

A resin egg from the movie Alien Resurrection (1979). This is from our collection of four eggs (egg and baby glow in the dark). If you like sci-fi movies you'll remember this little baby monster (yeah, a little creepy). The egg height with the baby is less than 3" and the wide less than 2". (Best in Large)
Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! My apologies if I cannot reply to all comments. Have a great day!
This is one egg eating crow. Several times I've seen crow and other birds with eggs, which I think are turtle eggs but I'm not sure. If anyone has any information, feel free to chime in. I've seen crows hard at it digging into the ground, and I suspected that this was what they were after. Surprisingly, the egg doesn't crack in their beak, and they are able to fly with it. If anyone can also confirm my identification of this as an American Crow, Corvus brachyrhynchos, please do so. Thanks
