Edit as requested in the Natural Light Child Photography group.

Editing done in Lightroom 3.

Started with the RAW file and went to the bottom of the Develop module and changed the Camera Calibration to Camera Portrait which helped brighten it up.

Then slid back up to the top and made these adjustments:

WB Temp 5263 Tint -8 Exposure +.67 Recovery 30 Fill Light 14 Blacks 16

Brightness 84 Contrast 23 Vibrance 64 Saturation -34

Under HSL, I made these saturation adjustments:

Orange +26, Yellow -36, Green -21, Blue -13

Then Split Toning Highlights Hue 37, Saturation 22...Balance -47, Shadows Hue 61, Saturation 8

Sharpening 25, 1.0, 25, 19

Noise Reduction Luminance 100 and Color 100

Lens Corrections Lens Vignetting -86, Midpoint 23

Effects Post Crop Vignetting Highlight Priority +10, Midpoint 42 Roundness -5 Feather 52

Then I added an Adjustment Brush selecting the background blanket and these settings Exposure -.58, Contrast -41, Clarity -61

Finished by Cropping so that there was just a bit of room on either side of the hat.

A re-edit of a photo I took over 15 years ago with my then-new Canon EOS 30D DSLR and its "better" kit lens, the EF-S 17-85mm F/4-5.6 IS USM. Revisiting the image, I made adjustments and applied a lookup table in Luminar 4 then I loaded it into Photoshop for some further tweaking.

This is not my pic, it is an edit for the Pimp My Pixels group as requested here: www.flickr.com/groups/pimpmypixels/discuss/72157622626667...

Tomorrow is going to be the first time I have ever gone snowboarding so I figured it only seemed fitting to take a picture with the new gear.

Finally succumbed to Adobe CC. I quite like the combination of Lightroom and Photoshop for editing RAW files. This might be the thing that gets me shooting RAW more often.
