Happy Caturday

This special Caturday, our group is celebrating memories of the wonderful cats that have shared their lives with us.

Eddie was possibly the most beautiful cat I have ever known. He came here quite suddenly, climbing the apple tree outside the kitchen window so he could be noticed. One look at his amazing beauty was all it took to steal our hearts.

We fed Eddie every morning and evening for a couple of years. He would not allow us to approach him and remained very aloof and standoffish.

I remember the last time I ever saw this wonderful cat. He stopped and looked back over his shoulder at me. I was able to capture this in a photo. Heartbreakingly, we never saw him again or knew what happened to him.

Undoubtedly, I loved Eddie the first time I ever set eyes on him- climbing the apple tree to get a better look into the house.

He was the owner of the wildest heart I ever experienced in any cat. In the time I knew Eddie, I was never able to get close to him, nor was anyone else. I don't know what his background was that caused his skittishness.

Eddie stayed around the house from winter into summer. He came for food every day and I would talk to him out the window. If I made any attempt to come into the yard while he was there he immediately ran off.

I longed to have Eddie come into the house where I could care for him, but, no deal. He wanted no part of that idea.

One day, he was just gone. I never saw him again even though I searched for him and waited.

I loved Eddie. His wild, wild beauty, his wild, wild heart. Where ever you are, I miss you so, so much. ~*~ Lana

The only problem that I have traveling around by car no matter where in the world is trying not stop every two minutes because I see a shot I want to take. PEI is a landscapers dream with backdrops of water, red sandstone cliffs, sandy beaches and verdant forests mixed in with changeable weather and islander propensity to keep things tidy you have plenty to occupy your obsession. This little scene can be found on Eddie Murphy Rd just off the 20 on the way to the Cape Tryon Lighthouse and had the right feel to it or at least enough for me to pull over and set up a shot on this cute little barn.

I took this on Sept 14, 2022 with my D850 and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 G2 Lens at 32mm, 1/25s, f11 ISO 64 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia ,Topaz, and DXO Nik

Eddie at 4-1/2 months.

I saw him, a little French bulldog, sitting as good as gold in the shopping trolley his lady owner was pushing in the garden centre. They sat at an adjoining table in the doggy part of the café and, when they had settled, I went and asked for a photo.

(I always ask) No problem.

As soon as Eddie saw me approach, he tried to climb out of the shopping trolley to say hello. I managed to persuade him to sit down again and took a couple of shots, this one my favourite.

I should add I was not in the doggy part of the café in order to capture doggy shots - it was just the warmest place!

I'm late to the #strangerthings wave. However, I got my Wacom tablet. I had to try it out on this photo first!

I am happy that you are here, I said thank you for being here,

You might be mourning the death of Eddie Van Halen today (October 6th) by listening to one of his many albums, and you may not know the story behind one of his most personal songs. It turns out that the acoustic guitar solo "316" from the 1991 Van Halen album is more than just a pretty song. It's all about the love of a father for his son (via Van Halen News Desk).

I remember that in 1984, I was 11 years old, my parents bought me brother and me a couple of cassettes, it was 1984 by Van Halen and Stay Hungry by Twisted Sister. We were blown away immediately by the electric guitars, mainly from Eddie Van Halen.

In 1992-93, We had the chance to see them live in concert when they played live in Mexico City for their tour for their For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge album. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

Here is my personal rendition to one of the best rock guitar-players ever.

He has become very spoiled very fast.

Dawg and Eddie. Nether are too sure about being placed on a rock to be photographed. Needless to say having the pups look my direction for a photo was all but impossible.

"Bad Eddie" (Bád Eddie in Irish) is the wreck of a boat moored on Magheraclogher Beach in West Donegal, Ireland. It has become a popular landmark and an inspiration for artists, photographers, and others. Originally built in France and purchased by a local fisherman, the boat has been a fixture in the landscape since the 1970s.

“ Life without a defined purpose is similar to a boat without a crew in the middle of the ocean.
