It's Dog Day Monday: My younger daughter had two mini Beagles and as a chef, decided to call them Ebi and Ginger after the spices. Both little sweethearts, they had the usual beagle habit of looking for any scrap of food they could find. That took up a god part of their day. The other part was howling every time the phone rang. And I mean every time, and howl until you answered. I took this shot in Minneapolis when Ebi was distracted by something, anything, or everything. Ebi and Ginger died within a month of each other in 2015. Five years later, Amy found Penny, a four pound mini Beagle who looks for food all day, and sleeps through the phone ringing now that everyone's gone to cell phones with different music.
