Description of the photo: "LA EDUCAZION OLVIDADA"
Education is a tough issue, everywhere. In Yeagua Corral, 3000 meters high inside the Peruvian Andes, the way to teach for some professors and the way to learn for most of the kids, forced to work in the family fields instead of studying, are extremely discouraging. Professor Ugo is working where the National Government doesn’t. He sleeps in his small school, without electric light, and he climbs up every two days by feet to do his best for his students. In this picture professor Ugo is teaching to his students, from 4 to 11 years old.
About the photographer:
Introspective Artist. My passions: painting first, photography closely following. My art: struggling the oppression of the soul. My pictures: finding my spirit in real life surrounding me. My painting and photography cross on catching a feeling in a blink of an eye, locking it, and making it eternal.

Description of the photo: "Right to Education: reading the sounds of Acholi"
Many children in Uganda (up to 400,000) do not attend school because they are engaged in rural activities, or because they get engaged at a very young age – especially the girls. The Northern region has the lowest literacy rate of the whole country. In the picture, teacher Okote reads the sounds of Acholi, the language spoken in Uganda Northern region. Besides working at the local school in Otong, she is engaged in promoting the right of every child to education with parents and local politicians. When I took this picture, I captured ms. Okote showing us the sounds of Acholi,
About the photographer: 30 years old, I am working in an Italian NGO. My job is to promote understanding and awareness about development issues, food security and global education. This photo was taken in Diaganiao, a small village in Senegal where sometimes the old and wise men from the village teach children in the biggest room of their house, which serves both as a living room as a classroom.
About the photographer: self-taught, I have a true passion for photography since I was 6 years old, which was the age at which my father placed my first camera in my hands. For me, photography is about capturing unique moments.

Description of the photo:
Europe is differently valued thanks to the role play and that very first joyful expression of children. And since all these take place within a circle-the eternal symbol of bounding and harmony among people, countries and feelings-the well-known motto ‘all for one and one for all’ seems achievable at last. Youth with its fresh mind and clear sight will always be in a position to forward messages provided that Europe will retain its value if it wishes to be respectively valued from the rest of the world.
About the photographer:
Eleftherios Plavos was born and raised in Volos. He studied Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering. From 2003 till nowadays he has been working as a teacher in Secondary Education. His interests lie in the fields of photography and plastic arts having active participation in a number of personal and team exhibitions. Parallel to all these , he is a member of the Photographic Club of Volos.
January Guest Photographer topic was "Europe in the world".

Description of the photo: “RESPECT”
Photo taken in the dojo. Dojo means place (jō) where you follow the way (dō), the perfect unity of mind and body. It’s a place of concentration, learning, friendship and respect. Dojo is like a small society with very specific rules. First, there's the greeting. The greeting has a universal meaning in all cultures and societies. It’s a form of respect and first form of education. In karate, the greeting means you are ready to learn selfcontrol, courage, mutual aid, respect with humility and discipline. Target of this great educational project is the formation of a responsible citizen.
About the photographer:
I discovered a passion for photography during a project started by my association called "Digital Paths". It is a project where one walks through villages and snaps photos, then posts them on Facebook for publicity. I practise Karate so I could live out what it means. It clears the mind, fills the spirit and gives me a sense of peace. Unfortunately, I started late so I could not taste all its fruits but life is filled with so many others and I'd like to collect them all!
