Here is Delta's ex-NWA 747-400 N674US on its farewell tour landing at MSP. Hundreds of people lined the airport viewing area and outlying areas to see it. The plane went from Detroit to Boeing in Seattle, Seattle to Atlanta, Atlanta to MSP as flight 9771, then back to Atlanta. This plane was delivered to NWA in October 1999, went to Delta in October 2008, and was repainted by Delta in April 2009. The plane flew over Minneapolis at low altitude, did a touch and go landing, then a final landing. When this plane goes to the Arizona desert next month, it will end the 747 era on NWA and Delta, which began in 1970. Farewell to the Queen of the Skies!

This is how ATA L-1011s would have looked if they had applied all the decals of their final color scheme... Titles were purposely left off of all L-1011s while they were contracted as CODs during the Gulf Wars to minimize the brand becoming a target for the enemy. By the time the DOD contract was over, the decision had been made to retire the iconic longhaul workhorse of the fleet for younger ex-NWA DC-10s, but by then ATA was back in Bankruptcy court and finally Liquidated in 2008.

Omni Air International, LLC. is a United States charter airline founded in 1993 and headquartered in Tulsa International Airport in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It specializes in passenger charter flights, and Aircraft Crew Maintenance Insurance (ACMI) wet leasing. Todays fleeti s based on B.767 and B.777, but in the past the company operated a total of 18 DC-10 (16 series -30 and 2 serie s-10).
N612AX (c/n 48290 l/n 435, series -30ER) was delivered new to Thai inDecember 1987, then bought by Northwest in April 1998. It joined Omni fleet in December 2006 and will remain in service 'till November 2014 when it has been sold to 10 Air Tanker Air Carrier.
