EXPLORE #263
Yesterday Elrond arrived at our home! we love him so much!
happy belated christmas my friends, sorry i was too busy to stay on flickr!
Un ignoto varco o una strada nuova;
"A! Elbereth Gilthoniel!
silivren penna miriel
o menel aglar elenath,
Gilthoniel, A! Elbereth!
Ricordiamo ancora noi che viviamo
In queste terre fra alberi lontani
Videro Gildor e altri splendidi Elfi;
Galadriel sedeva sopra un bianco destriero avvolta di bianco scintillante, come nube intorno alla Luna;
«I Portatori dell’Anello devono partire insieme».
«Dove state andando, padrone?», gridò Sam, benché avesse finalmente capito quel che stava succedendo.
«Ai Rifugi, Sam», disse Frodo.
«E io non posso venire».
«No, Sam.
Andate in pace!
Allora Frodo baciò Merry e Pipino e per ultimo Sam, e salì a bordo;

"If Aragorn survives this war, you will still be parted. If Sauron is defeated and Aragorn made king and all that you hope for comes true you will still have to taste the bitterness of mortality. Whether by the sword or the slow decay of time, Aragorn will die. And there will be no comfort for you, no comfort to ease the pain of his passing. He will come to death an image of the splendor of the kings of Men in glory undimmed before the breaking of the world. But you, my daughter, you will linger on in darkness and in doubt as nightfall in winter that comes without a star. Here you will dwell bound to your grief under the fading trees until all the world is changed and the long years of your life are utterly spent."
EXPLORE # 481
Yesterday I and Simona went to a breeding to choose our border collie's puppy.
we were so excited!
in one month we'll bring home ELROND (the guy in this picture!).
I want to introduce him to you, my friends
Based on the scene in the book The Hobbit where Bilbo and the dwarves arrive at Rivendell. I built it for a collab based on the Hobbit with LOTRLUG, and was quite excited to get this part as I've wanted to build a model of Rivendell for a while. I must give some credit to Elven Ranger as his Siege of Imladris model was a huge source of inspiration for this build. Also, credit to Joe (jnj_bricks) for editing the photo! Overall, I think it might be one of my best build yet, and I hope you like it too!

“In all the days of the Third Age, after the fall of Gil-galad, Master Elrond abode in Imladris, and he gathered there many Elves, and other folk of wisdom and power from among all the kindreds of Middle-earth, and he preserved through many lives of Men the memory of all that had been fair; and the house of Elrond was a refuge for the weary and the oppressed, and a treasury of good counsel and wise lore."

After being saved by Arwen, Frodo wakes up in Feudal Rivendell. Legolas is teaching Aragorn elvish sword techniques, Gandalf the Grey Wanderer is having a chat with Daimyo Elrond, and Gimli is simply taking a rest in preparation for the council meeting.
This build depicts Rivendell set in a feaudal Japan setting. Built for MELO 2025 where the challenge was to mix Lord of the Rings with a specific time period.
Built for MELO (Middle Earth Lego Olympics) 2023. This is for the round of 16 challenge: Set Revamp.
I chose to revamp the 79006 Council of Elrond set released in 2013. I don't have the set's figs with my at the moment so I created my own.
To celebrate the theatrical release of the first Lord of the Rings movie, the Fellowship of the Ring, which came out 20 years ago today, myself and 7 other talented Lord of the Rings builders decided to build iconic scenes in the form of 20x20 vignettes from the movie.
I chose a scene from the prologue to the movie, where Isildur is ambushed by orcs near the Gladden Fields on his way to give the One Ring to Elrond in Rivendell, and loses the Ring as well as his life in the ensuing chaos. I tried to show an underwater scene effectively, and I hope it captures the emotion and grittiness from the scene in the movie well.
This is my first build and post in a while too, so hello again everyone! I'm still alive and into LEGO :)
Maranatha!

In one of the final scenes in the last Lord of the Rings movie The Return of the King, Frodo, Gandalf, Elrond and Galadriel depart from middle earth back to the Valar. Their boat leaves from a port city called the Grey Havens which I have created here.
This project was built for my friend Skyler, who graciously gave me his entire Lego collection for free last year. I felt obligated to thank him for such a kind act, and I decided to build his favorite scene from his favorite movie. Thanks again Skyler!

This guy is a meme legend, a scene from the Council of Elrond and his phrase about the difficulty of taking Mordor attracted many people, hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of jokes were invented. Yes, this is not a high art that conceals hidden wisdom, maybe I really wasted my time in vain, inventing inscriptions in the meme generator more than ten years ago, but this useless activity inspired me to this head:-)

I took it over to Nightcafe after and upscaled it with the Clarity Program, then ran a color and contrast enhance.

Finally back to "building" I guess. I was kind of in a big hurry and this scene is very dependent on editing, still really like how it turned out nevertheless. I hope I can push out a real build soon as well.
Year 1 of the Second Age -
The War of Wrath had destroyed most of the elven realm of Beleriand at the end of the First Age. The surviving elves who chose to remain in Middle-Earth founded the port city of Mithlond, also known as the Grey Havens, in the realm of Lindon. It was a major port used frequently by the Númenoreans during the raging war against Sauron in the Second Age.
The Grey Havens was ruled by the Telerin Elf Círdan. He was a great mariner and shipwright who was born in the Years of the Trees and maintained the honor of being the first owner of Narya, one of the Three Elven Rings. Círdan served as lieutenant under Gil-Galad, the last High King of the Noldor, and fought at the Battle of Dagorlad.
The Grey Havens and Círdan remained relatively quiet but important during the Third Age and The War of the Ring. It was the port where the Ring-bearers: Gandalf, Elrond, Galadriel, Bilbo and Frodo set sail across the Grear Sea to Valinor.
Be sure to follow all the builders tagged, and stay tuned for the next episode by Barthezz Brick coming out on Wednesday! Finally we would like to thank Blaine's World for sponsoring our collaboration!
Thanks for viewing the first installment in the Second Age Collab!

My second micro Lord of the Rings creation, after Edoras. Andrew JN suggested that I build Rivendell, and I was skeptical about being able to pull it off in micro-scale at first. The main build process took a little over 2 weeks, and then I needed to wait a bit longer for parts to arrive to finish the model. It was primarily based off of these two images: picture 1, picture 2.
The model is view-able from all sides, and while one of my most complex micro creations, it was an extremely rewarding build.
Rivendell, also known as Imladris, was an Elven town and the house of Elrond located in Middle-earth. It is described as “The Last Homely House East of the Sea”, referencing towards Valinor, which is west of the Great Sea in Aman.
Check out all of the pictures on brickbuilt to make sure you don't miss any details.
To decide the future of the one ring Elrond calls together a council of elves, men, dwarfs and Hobbits. A fellowship of nine including Frodo the ring bearer is sent out to destroy the ring in Mordor. You have my sword, my bow and my axe. And my bricks!
This scene is a tribute to my friend Markus Rollbühler who is the true wizard of LEGO feather trees and a huge LotR fan himself.

This is the start of my LEGO Lord of the Rings series.
After the chase with the Black Riders Frodo reaches Rivendell, House of Elrond. He finds healing in the elven town and when he wakes up Gandalf is by his side.
One year ago Thorsten alias Xenomurphy reached out to me with a very special collaboration: Building the epic journey of The Lord of the Rings. Of course I agreed and after 13 extraordinary scenes by Thorsten I continue with scene number 14.
I'm excited to show you all the vignettes I built over the last months and relive the most iconic scenes from the first movie together with you! New scene every Monday & Thursday.

The Hobbit Chapter 3
“What is this?” he said. “There are moon-letters
here, beside the plain runes which say ‘five feet

“Stand by the grey stone when the thrush
knocks,” read Elrond, “and the setting sun with
the last light of Durin’s Day will shine upon the key-hole.”

Wow! That was a pretty rushed build! Life's been busy, and my time for building has been very short. To be honest, I'm not crazy about this build, but I guess I'm too hard on myself. Well tell me what you think, and be sure to check out Chapter 2 by Graeme.
I want to thank everyone for the 500 followers! It means a lot. Plus expect a tag and another Star Wars MOC!

Year 1697-1700 of the Second Age - The Siege of Imladris
Following the devastating assault on Eregion, caused by Sauron and his minions, Elrond fled to Imladris, or Rivendell, a valley north of the Misty Mountains. Knowing that Elrond would try to ambush him from behind, Sauron sent a small force of orcs to Rivendell to end lay waste to the refuge. Elrond, along with the remaining forces of Eregion and the Elves of Lindon. The elves eventually destroyed their enemies, and managed to crush Sauron's forces along with a great host of Numenoreans, ending the War of the Elves and Sauron at the Battle of the Gwathló. When the war ended, Eregion was gone, and most of Eriador destroyed.

It was given by Elrond to Aragorn son of Arathorn (Lord Of The Rings - Tolkien), when he was told of his true name and lineage, together with the shards of Narsil. In the year 2980 of the Third Age, in Lothlórien Aragorn gave the ring to Arwen Undómiel, and thus they were betrothed.

==================
At the upper side of the Vall de Cardós, surrounded by some of the highest peaks of the Catalan Pyrenees, such as Certascan, Broate, Baborte and Sotllo, lays the Pla de Boavi ("Boavi plain"). It's gentle rolling surface, filled with meadows and trees, watered by the Noguera de Lladorre, contrasts with all the bare rock and the coasts that surround it.
It's very clean and well-kept now, but I remember going there in the 80s, when you could get there by car, full of disgusting people free camping and littering it all. Good work has been done here.
It has always made me think of a kind of Catalan version of Rivendel, Elrond's last house in Middle-earth.

"I will take the Ring," he said,
"though I do not know the way."
Elrond raised his eyes and looked at him.........
"This is the hour of the Shire-folk, when they arise
from their quiet fields,
to shake the towers and counsels of the Great.
Who of all the Wise could have foreseen it?"
quote from Lord of the Rings
After Frodo's dangerous journey from the Shire to Rivendell the embassadors of the three nations of Middleearth arrive there. The humans, the dwarves and the eleves want to discuss, how to proceed with the ring of Sauron. Gandalf and Elrond are hosting the big meeting at the Council of Elrond.
Isildur, King of Gondor: After the Battle of Dagorlad, Isildur brought the ring to Mount Doom, with Elrond. Instead of throwing it into the lava, Isildur was possessed by the ring and took it for his own.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tom Bombadil: Although he never found the ring, he wore it briefly when Frodo and his friends came to visit. The ring had no effect on old Tom, who was not possessed by it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sméagol (And Déagol): Sméagol, also later known as Gollum, was fishing with his cousin, Déagol, when the latter found the ring where Isildur had dropped it. Sméagol killed Déagol after becoming obsessed over the powerful ring.

"'You are come to the very edge of the Wild, as some of you may know.
Hidden somewhere ahead of us is the fair valley of Rivendell where Elrond lives in the Last Homely House. I sent a message by my friends, and we are expected.'"

“And so at last they all came to the Last Homely House, and found its doors flung wide.”
Finally something more interesting than rocks and bushes (at least I hope).
I tried to stay as close as possible to the architecture shown in the movies and was surprised when I realised that they used a mix of “typical” elegant and almost fragile elvish architecture, combined with massive, strong columns and arches.
Getting the floor mosaic right was a pain in the … but I did it in the end. I’ll upload some alternative versions of the floor and the whole vignette later to my Instagram stories.

i made this after watching cast away the other night, and yes, it is lego, the ball was a lego soccer ball that i dry brushed with brown and painted the "face" on. wilson's "hair" was made from the back of a cut up Arwin hair piece from the council of elrond set.
i also sanded the bottom so it doesn't roll around
what do you think?
“What is this?” he said. “There are moon-letters here, beside the plain runes which say ‘five feet high the door and three may walk abreast.’”
When I saw the movie for the first time, I thought that this scene is visually remarkable, though it looked a bit ‘out of place’ in Rivendell. It wasn’t easy to transform this impression into a 14x14 vignette, but in the end, I was quite satisfied, not least because the blue colour comes out very nice.
The sons of Elrond rush to their mother's aid after she is poisoned by orcs while crossing the Misty Mountains
