A heavy passenger train powered by General Electric E60MA No. 605 heads west (south) on the Northeast Corridor through Elizabeth, New Jersey, on May 21, 1993.
A good looking train for the day as 968 is fairly new and clean without "ghetto grills" over the windshields.

Mexican empty coal train leaving the Navaho Generating Station in Page, Az. Not really, only looks like one with the NdeM painted E60C's. The railroad ended with an unloading loop at the station and it was the only customer. In 2019, they normally ran an empty train from the station to the mine around 7:00 in the morning. So I parked along the highway here and waited in the bed of the truck. Finally at 9:00 they started unloading the previous day's train and were headed to the mine a little after 10. That's getting to be high sun time in Arizona in May but a little dodging and burning helped lighten up the power. It's a shame it shutdown, very interesting to see. The last run was in August 2019. Reports are that rails are still in place but the electrical components were reclaimed and the power plant decommissioned. This is a reprocess of an earlier post.

An NJ Transit E60 electric motor leads a northbound morning commuter train along the Northeast Corridor at Linden N.J. June 1992.
these units will spell the end of the E60C's and the electric Navajo Mine RR in New Mexico. Former GECX tier 4 demos # 2026 and # 2027 were repainted by GE at Erie, PA and are bound for new owner North American Coal/ Navajo Transitional Energy Company in New Mexico. From what I have read the electric RR is done once these get placed in service. Madison, IL June 13th 2017

This looks like a Florida train with steam heated Heritage Fleet equipment, and 950 is fairly new as the window grills have yet to be applied. Amtrak 950-955 were delivered with steam generators and were called E60CP's'. 956 and up were E60CH's as they were delivered with HEP.

Amtrak E60 #609 is southbound on the #3 main track at Bowie, MD sometime in the Spring of 1989. Note the original location of the numberboards on the front of the 609.
This was still an active MARC station at the time. In about a year the new station at Bowie State University would replace this one yet the crosswalk remained until about 10 years ago serving no purpose as it was completely isolated from public access.

The sun sets on the Black Mesa & Lake Powell Railroad's afternoon job at the mine load out near Black Mesa in northeastern Arizona. E60 Locomotive #EA 022 retains it's number, paint scheme and herald from it's previous owner N De M (National of Mexico). Only the second unit in this consist has actually been repainted, and with the shutdown of the operation looming in two years of this pic, it is likely that none of the others will be repainted.
