Holland on Sea coastline with its architectural concrete sea defences at sunrise. I had never seen these before i visited Holland Haven and as i walked around the coastline i saw this amazing scene before me, so pleasing to photography.
This small 17th century thatched cottage was originally built for Dutch workers working on draining and creating the sea walls on Canvey Island. It has been restored by the local council and used as a museum.

Holland is a ‘water-land’ and so very much a sailing nation!
They were and are a nation of seafarers!
There is much activity on the water, yes the Dutch love their boats!
With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)

The windmills at Kinderdijk are a group of 19 monumental windmills in the Alblasserwaard polder, in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. Most of the mills are part of the village of Kinderdijk in the municipality of Molenlanden, and one mill, De Blokker, is part of the municipality of Alblasserdam. Built in 1738 and 1740, to keep water out of the polder, it is the largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands and one of the best-known Dutch tourist sites. The mills are listed as national monuments and the entire area is a protected village view since 1993. They have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

This is backside of The Basilica of Saint Nicholas, Amsterdam. This is the place where famous Red Light District begins (no camera allowed). But from here you can see and enjoy Dutch architect, canal system, Dutch bicycles (where 38% people bike everyday), eat famous Dutch pancakes & waffles and buy Holland Ceramics.
Holland really needs a photoshoot, but I've just been way too busy lately! At least you can see what she looks like here <3

The traditional Dutch Inland craft Goede Verwachting (Good Expectation) passed by early this morning. The 26.5 x 5.3 m boat was sailing close to the Danish coast, about 8 km
away from my balcony, so I could not get a closer shot. Goede Verwachting is according to Marine Traffic on her way from Copenhagen to Gothenburg (Sweden).
