The dustjacket features the first ever spacewalk by USSR Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov during the Voskhod-2 mission (March 18, 1965).
•Duration of spacewalk: 12 minutes, 9 seconds.
•Spacecraft: Modified Vostok spacecraft.
•Stamp Value: 10 Kopeks.
•The spacewalk was more dangerous than reported; Leonov's suit inflated, making it difficult to re-enter the spacecraft.
•The Voskhod 2 mission lasted 26 hours, completing 16 orbits
The album commemorates the achievements of the Soviet space program during the Space Race with the United States.
The Soviet program achieved milestones such as the first satellite, human in space, and space station.
