Swans on the river Korana. Next to the river Korana is one of the most beautiful promenades in the whole city Karlovac where people walking, watching and feed swans. River Korana become a great place for swans. One large flock whole year stay on the river.

Captured looking straight down from a viewing platform, with the illusion the ducks are swimming amongst some clouds.

(Aythya collaris)

The sun came out from behind the clouds just long enough for me to get this shot. Thankfully they were lined up pretty good. There were five of them, but the one was a little shy for a group pic. Peace Valley Park, New Britain Pa.

American Black Ducks are large ducks with a profile nearly identical to Mallards. They have rounded heads, thick bills, and bulky bodies. Like other dabbling ducks they sit high in the water with their tails high.

American Wigeon (top), Redhead and Mallard duck (bottom) swimming together in Trade Winds Lake in Fairfield Harbour, NC. From 75 ft. away through my glass storm door...because it's too damn cold outside. Not the greatest photo, but rare having this group together.

Picture was taken on the Wissahickon Creek near the Valley Green Inn.

Black-bellied Whistling Ducks (Dendrocygna autumnalis) in the reeds of Shoveler Pond at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Chambers County, Texas.

These ducks were having fun playing in the water against a background of fall leaves.

I've learned that: Those small daily happenings are what make life so spectacular.

Have a great day!

These birds are really fun to watch and to photograph. They are a bit skittish, but that makes them seek out dark corners and circle around warily, which leads to neat poses and behaviours. The colours area challenges in almost any light. One of the other great things about them, that escapes photography, is the neat sounds they make, from the cries to the subtle buzzing - which the open-mouthed male here was doing as he circled behind the female.

... went swimming one day.

I can't get this tune out of my head, I keep listening to it along with my grandson

Very close to a large shopping area. Most people go past without seeing this.
