You will note the Christian cross atop the flagpole. Interestingly enough, there is no U.S. flag right up there next to the cross, but instead, that of none other than Donald J Drumpf. Guess that's because he is so pious and such a great representative of Christianity.

After seeing it practically die out, we saw it coming back in full force in the 1980s, though it is not usually called solitary confinement, but rather restrictive housing, segregation, room restriction, protective custody, security housing units or whatever new euphemisms they may come up with to just keep torturing prisoners who can be sent to solitary at whim.
Edit: Stephen Miller even had his president isolating little children from their parents!
Eastern State also occasionally used the “shower bath”, which sounds like an early form of waterboarding... At least they did not pretend it was just “enhanced interrogation”...
The prison is now open to the public as a preserved ruin.

Okay, here's a bit of an unpaid political statement. I find it more than a little bit disconcerting, that someone can live in a $300,.000.00 home, drive two $30,000.00 cars, and generally live better than 90% of the rest of the world, and think his/her country needs to be made great again. What will it take to make someone so intent on world domination and personal wealth at the expense of others, to be happy?
Remember when they put a star or an angel on the top of the Christmas Tree? Well, the new age is upon us. I hear the morally superior Drumpf Administration is contemplating a law that all church services are required to start with the pledge of allegiance. "So help me God."

Strange Stormy Situation Surrounds Stunning Saturday Seaside Serenity Sunset Scene (SOOC) - IMRAN™
What a strange time it is. It feels as if 2020, like a mean, dangerous, psychotic, fatal attraction addicted ex-girlfriend, just won't let go of us to move into a better future. But, as I captured this SOOC (straight out of camera) unedited Nikon D300 photo of tonight's sunset at my blessed home on Tampa Bay, Florida, I thought to myself what a strange situation surrounds this stunning Saturday seaside serenity sunset scene.
Despite a red-hot sunset, a cold wind, seemingly coming from all sides in strong bursts but without notable gusts, invisibly symbolizes the national and global threats buffeting us in this new year, and new decade.
A global Coronavirus pandemic, now with a dangerous mutation, is still wreaking havoc, ... but vaccines are offering some hope. A cancer of wilful ignorance and cult-like embrace of fascist forces continues to threaten our democracy, ... but even a few (until-recently fascism-embracing tyrant-loving) politicians acting like they are finding their consciences is giving hope to a return to normalcy.
An actual insurrection against the government of the United States, incited by none other than the actual current occupant of the Oval Office, leading to Confederate & Nazi flags and symbols being proudly displayed inside the US Capitol for the first time in history shook the patriotic majority of the nation, ... but there is hope that it may have woken up enough sell-out members of his own party to realize they have to stand up to Drumpf. An actual agent of an enemy state and criminal President is talking about pardoning himself, his family, and others whom he clearly directed to commit crimes... but even Republicans are now asking for his removal from office, and wanting a return to the rule of law, from the streets to the highest office in the land.
All these cures are better late than never, ... but what a tragic waste of so much. Lives, jobs, civility, decency, stability, and unity, ... all losses caused by the acts foisted on us by corrupt, incompetent, undemocratic forces of a traitor in power in 2020.
The truth is simple. Facts are facts, no matter what conspiracy theory undereducated cultists embrace or what white-lies purely opportunistic sleazy politicians spread. Science is science, no matter how much some idiots believe the earth is flat, or that they would get injected with a microchip in an anti-viral vaccine.
It is time to make 2021 the start of the best years of our lives, as people, as nations, and as humankind. Join me as I bow my head in prayer at this sunset time for us all to be healed and at peace again.

The Donald has a tendency to plunk down buildings all over the place, prominently emblazoned with his name.
I chose to photograph a part of the building that does not have his name on it, as far as I can see...
Slow Flickr postings for now while I have so much genealogical work and tackle more "special" retouches loaded by my cousin and frankly tomato starting day almost passed me by. Some of my tomatoes are ready to transplant from the several dozen in the flat. I have to deal with four dozen of them in a week.
It looks like anything that falls in Longmont's river, stays in the river. Any AR15 obtained by the alt-right, stays with the alt-right. It looks like the kids will have to shame the alt-right and NRA into some slight sanity. Shades of the Seventies. Perhaps if Drumpf didn't get 30 mill from the NRA to run. When an orangeman shows you who they really are, believe him. Sheesh! Everything bought and paid while the eco closes around us. This looks like one of those s**thole countries that can't even clean up behind themselves. Now I remember that Elon Musk is from that s**thole country where that city is almost out of water. That must be another grab all country that doesn't believe in climate change. Maybe we could ship all the US clean coal we can.
I've spent time at Roger's Grove for fireworks displays but never really investigated the park. The park is beside a grove on the St.Vrain River. Roger Jones was a local butcher/merchant whose family donated funds in 1995 to the city for the purchase of the property adjacent to the Boulder County Fairgrounds. The park includes some untouched lands along the St. Vrain River as seen here. It struck me that this land inside the city limits was not far from the line shack nor the status of the originally settled area.

More siltholes! This stream can't decided for sure which way is downhill so some of it went astray and had to make some corrections even with a few rocks making a poor dam. It's a good thing it's blue water because the orange water can never figure out which way to go! Even brown water knows which way to go. That's sort of like a country that can't figure out which way to go so they have a game of grab all. I know a S**thole when I see one because they are usually orange. But with a magician's legerdemain, the Drumpf managed to call for a state of the union speech on the very night of Jimmy Kimmel's Drumpf porn star unveiling. Egad... did CBS out pay Mein Drumpf? No. no, no, look over here! Rocky Mountain Mike has a rolicking Stormy Daniels rendition on YeauToob. It's going to het up now that Drumpf's mouthpiece, Cohen admitted to paying off the The Donald's pornstar says he broke the non-disclosure agreement and she's free for the entire late night circuit. S**hole! That's what you are thinking! You're right, this is a s**thole; ahole in the St. Vrain river bank that fills with silt. The name Cutbank has already been used in Montana and I therefore had to work overtime working this title up. George Bush (Boy George) said it was hard work cleaning up his Texas ranch. No silt! Hard work is something as foreign to Drumpf and specific for anyone darker than white. Mein Drumpf!

The park has the St. Vrain path and bike path that really starts at the Vance Brand Municipal Airport continue through this park. The path continues west along the river under the main Hover Road and connects to the Golden Ponds (gravel pits) Recreation and nature area directly to the west. There is only one gravel pit in this park. I includes an island for goose habitat.
The result of fifteen months of making America great again...

It doesn’t look too good, though.
From the Trump Atrium of Manhattan’s Trump Tower, with its Trump Directory indicating the presence of a Trump Bar, a Trump Grill, a Trump Café, Trump’s Ice Cream Parlor and Trump Events, I discovered that there was also a Trump Store, where these Trump Gold (chocolate) bars were on display.
