crystal and i took leo to the renaissance festival for kind of a last hoorah before she left for chicago. it was the last weekend for the renaissance too, so i think the lords and ladies were a little nuts...which i love. this was one of my favorite moments there.

i don't know what you'd call these people on the ground - peasants...workers...lassies and lads.... well, either way they had a sign they were holding up that you can kind of see in the background that said 'plage,' and people were dropping like flies around them. pretty funny on it's own, but it was even funnier when leo went to lay down next to them to see what it was all about. i guess he thought it was the thing to do.

later he got down and busted out moves in front of the bongos... looks like the video will have to go up when i get me a pro account.

the whole festival is pretty hilarious. full of interesting characters and mouthwatering foods, like smoked turkey legs and big fat pickles on a stick. crystal and i talked about dressing up next year, getting slightly smashed and walking around like we work there. think anyone would notice a couple extra wenches in the bunch??

Walking around Vancouver. July 2012 vacation in Vancouver, British Columbia.

When goats fight, they rear up on their hind feet and drop horn first to hit the other goat in the head. Even big goats will play at it sometimes but kids never hit as they don’t have the horns they need to take the shock of hitting. A few years back I drew the outline of a goats head with eyes and all on a piece of cardboard and put it on the chicken house door. Later I saw that it was just full of holes where the kids had butted it with their little short horns.
