I've finally made a splash with my photography. I setup this shot based on the fine instructional video of Gavin Hoey.
I used a single SB-800 set to 1/32 power shooting off a colored piece of paper as described in Gavin's video. I increased saturation of the colors in Photoshop.
I've seen much better photos of water droplets but I'm happy with my first attempt. Next time, I may try to shoot a bit more on level. I'll also use a pan without age spots. The discoloration of the pan is clearly visible in the photo.

It's hard to see here, but ahead is a crazy drop shaft that spills water right down the middle of the pipe, causing an inconvenient soaker.
This fly was sitting there, playing around with a drop of ... whatever. I took this photo without tripod. When I set up the tripod, it flew away..
